Description

Since its introduction in 1957, the original Wilson A2000 Series has set the standard for premium quality ball gloves. Developed together with engineers, craftsmen and Major League players, the A2000 Series is the ultimate defensive tool. Used on MLB fields since 1998, the A2000 SuperSkin models were developed to be as lightweight as possible, without sacrificing performance or durability. SuperSkin repels moisture and reduces the overall weight of the glove while still being 2x stronger than conventional leather. The SuperSkin models strategically place American Pro Stock leather at certain points such as the palm and web to give it even more rugged durability. Pro Stock American Steerhide is prized by players for strength and unmatched feel. It has even been called "the perfect ball glove leather". Its durability is enhanced even further with Dual-Welting pre-curved finger design that helps the pocket keep its shape and stay stable. Think it's impossible to improve perfection? Think again. Put millions of hours of passion for excellence in the palm of your hand with a Wilson A2000 SuperSkin glove! Wilson: More Win! Free Shipping!

Nick

Pros: Glove looks very nice

Cons: It didn't break in at all for me. I used almost every single day for 5 months and it felt like as if I had just bought it. I'd don't know what it is so I bought a pro preferred and it is already more broken in after only one day of catch with it

Looking for a glove for my son that just turned 13. Average size hands. Should I still be considering a youth glove or look for a high school glove he can grow into? forbes34
We recommend and adult glove for his age. The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series would be a great fit for a player to grow into.
Kara
Is this glove similar to the 1786ss except for the fact that this glove has a trapeze web? wilsona200
Yes. The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A2000BBOTIFSS is similar to the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: 1786SS, with the only difference being the webbing.
Tyler
I've had trapeze gloves that feature shallower pockets than conventional webs. Is the pocket as deep as Wilson's other a2000 11.50 gloves? vatraveldad
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A2000BBOTIFSS has an average size pocket when compared to other 11.5" Wilson A2000 models.
Tyler
I play for my high school team and was wondering if this would be a good third baseman's glove at the high school level? Ball Player
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A2000BBOTIFSS is an excellent glove with great durability. However, we recommend a 11.75" glove like the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A2000BBG5SS.
Kara
Can you use this glove in the outfield? Alex
You could use this glove in the outfield, but i would recommend going with a bigger size.
Noah
Would this be a good choice for a player who splits time between SS and OF or would you recommend a different glove? kwj
That depends on the age of the player. I recommend our Glove Coach. It's a great tool: http://www.justballgloves.com/glove-coach/
John
How come I don't have to put a size glove? Christine
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A2000BBOTIFSS is a 11.50" inch pattern glove.
Aubrey
What position would you recommended this glove for? Max
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A2000BBOTIFSS would be ideal for a short-stop or second baseman. A third baseman and a pitcher would also be able to use this glove.
Justin R
I don't really see the difference between the H, I, and closed pockets of gloves. Is there a difference? David P
Must comes down to the personal preference of the player. Most infielders prefer anything with an open web as to avoid picking up a lot of dirt when fielding balls in the dirt. Most pitchers will prefer a closed web glove in order to hide the ball on the mound. Most outfielders prefer a trapeze, modified trapeze or H-web as these types often produce a slightly deeper pocket. Ultimately though, the decision truly comes down to the personal preference of the player.
Tyler
I play mostly 3rd or the occasional short stop for my local team. On my high school team, I play 3rd. Would this glove fit my requirements? (My hand is medium sized, right now i have an 11.5 glove) David P
At 11.5", the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A2000BBOTIFSS would be a good option for a shortstop or third baseman at the High School level. The 11.5" sizing is ideal for short, and the trapeze web will offer a lightly larger pocket that third basemen often prefer.
Tyler
I don't really like the web on this glove but want an infield/pitcher glove and want a Wilson. Any suggestions? lolol
We recommend the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BBG4ST as alternative to the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Baseball Glove: A2000BBOTIFSS.
Kara
I am a middle infielder, pitcher, and outfielder.Would this be a good glove for me? I went on Wilson.com and did the perfect glove search. but I couldn't choose outfielder. Can this glove also be used as an outfielder's glove? Thank you. KObeast
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Baseball Glove: A2000BBOTIFSS is a little small for utility player. We recommend a 12.00" glove like the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Baseball Glove: A2000BBCJWSS for your positions.
Kara
Is this glove suitable for a college third baseman? miggythethird03
Yes, this A2000 model would be a great option for a serious ball player. This model is ideal for a pitcher or an infielder.
John
Would the glove benefit from the six finger web or is it 100% made for personal preference? I personally don't like the design of the six finger web but really need a helpful glove. dylan
The Six Finger webbing on the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A2000BBOTIFSS) is personal preference. A more closed webbing is beneficial for a pitcher, but for position players web type is based more on preference.
Jason
How long does this glove take to break-in? DennyAce
The material that the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A2000BBOTIFSS) is made of makes the break-in process a bit easier but it will still take a fairly standard break-in period which can vary by how often you work with the glove.
Patrick
What is the difference between dual rolled welting and rough welting? Which is better? Nate
Currently, I am not familiar with rough welting on the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A2000BBOTIFSS). Dual welting is a very good thing. It will help the glove be much more durable and improve the gloves comfort as well.
Brandon
Why is the glove 179.99? Felix
The price of our gloves are determined by many factors such as: leather quality, size, date released, etc.
Sean
Is this glove good for a third basemen? johnny
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A2000BBOTIFSS) would be a great choice for a 3rd baseman.
Kelby
Does this glove have a shallow pocket like the A2000 1786? Mike
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A2000BBOTIFSS) will have a slightly deeper pocket than the I-web pocket on the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A2000BBSS1786).
Patrick
Is the Pedroia Fit available in this model? Cart
No. This specific design is an 11.5 inch glove with a six finger pocket that does not feature the smaller Pedroia fit.
Patrick
What is the difference between a Six Finger Web and regular web? patrick
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A2000BBOTIFSS) and its Six Finger Webbing will allow for easier grabs in the outfield. The pocket will be deeper and allow for fuller closure, especially if you put two fingers in the pinky stall.
Brandon
I am looking for a flexible glove. Will this glove be good for that? peter
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A2000BBOTIFSS) will be more flexible right out of the wrapper, when compared to other A2000 models that feature a leather backing instead of a SuperSkin.
Ben
I have a 13 year old son that I am tired of buying mid-range gloves for year after year. He plays shortstop and pitches. I want a long lasting, durable glove. It looks like this glove is what he is looking for but is SuperSkin the way to go? What is break-in time before game ready? Baseballdad
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A2000BBOTIFSS) is a great design and a very durable model. While lightweight and more flexible, the SuperSkin Material actually tends to hold up very well to use. The break-in time can vary based on the method of break-in and how much time you put into it. It breaks in a bit easier than most high end gloves because of that SuperSkin material but will still require some work to form the pocket to your specification.
Patrick
When you oil this glove do you oil the SuperSkin as well? Charles
We would not recommend oiling the SuperSkin material on the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A2000BBOTIFSS).
Patrick
Is the glove $179.99 or $199.99? It's listed with both prices. Mike
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A2000BBOTIFSS) was listed at $179.99 when we had the left handed throwing option available. The right handed throwing glove would be $199.99.
Patrick
Would this be a good glove for a third basemen? cdiego579
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A2000BBOTIFSS) would be great for a third basemen since it is an infielders design.
Frankie
is this a good middle infielder glove? jik
This Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A2000BBOTIFSS) will feature an 11.5" length that will make it an excellent length for high school aged (or older) middle infielder.
Ben
Is this good glove for a third baseman? tbaseball
Yes, the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series A2000BBOTIFSS is a great option for a player playing infield.
John
Can Hot Glove be used to break in the Wilson A2000 and on the super skin? Kevin
Hot Glove can be used to help break-in a Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A2000BBOTIFSS). Like other glove oils, apply only a small amount as needed.
Cameron
Is this glove good for a kid standing at 5'0" with average size hands? rahrah27
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A2000BBOTIFSS is a very good glove for someone that plays the middle infield and/or 3B. As far as the fit for someone with average size hands, it should fit fine. If the wrist opening and finger stalls feel too big on this glove then you would want to look for a Dustin Pedroia fit as these will feature a smaller wrist opening and tighter finger stalls. One such model would be the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A20RB15DP15GM.
Cameron
What size is this glove? loganrouthier
The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A2000BBOTIFSS is a 11.50 inch glove.
