Pros: The craftsmanship is great, like all A2000 gloves. SuperSkin makes the break in time a lot faster. At first the glove seemed smaller than a typical mitt but it is perfect. It also fits my 10yo daughters hand perfectly. Awesome mitt!!!

Would this be a good first base glove for my 8 year old daughter that plays travel ball? jmart

The Wilson A2000 Series (WTA20RF15B14SS) Fastpitch First Base Mitt has an adult woman sized finger stalls and wrist openings that will probably be too big for a youth player. I would recommend looking into the youth model fastpitch first base mitts since they will be sized for youth players and will fit your daughter's hand better.

The break in time for the Wilson A2000 Series (WTA20RF15B14SS) Fastpitch First Base Mitt will vary from player to player; however, this glove is made of pro stock leather which is going to be one of the more top of the line leathers, so the glove will come pretty firm and will take some time to break in.

Although, the 12.25" length of this Wilson A2000 Series (WTA20RF15B14SS Fastpitch First Base Mitt) might be considered a little small for slow pitch play by most players, I think that this mitt should be able to handle a 12.00" softball pretty well at first base within a slow pitch game.
