I am looking at this 33" mitt and the Rawlings Heart of the Hide 32.5". I am purchasing for a varsity catcher. What do you recommend? Bigbug41
I just received this glove for my son and am curious about the sewn-in, extra, thumb pocket. This is in addition to the traditional thumb strap in every catcher's glove. Normally he wears a thumb protector, but it will not fit with this the way it is. JDalton
I have been playing college level for the last three years with two A2000 mitts that had a 32.5" circumference. Will I notice a significant difference if I change to a 33" pattern? Willie
About the Brand
A true American icon in the world of sports equipment. This Chicago-based manufacturer of quality gloves began in 1913 as Ashland Manufacturing, which was a subsidiary of the Wilson & Co. meat company. At one point, the enterprise became known as the Thomas E. Wilson Co., taking the name of an early chief executive. In 1931, the name was changed to Wilson Sporting Goods Co.
Wilson makes a variety of baseball gloves and equipment for several different positions, uncluding bats and batting gloves. They are best known for models that include the A2K and A2000, as well as custom gloves. Players such as Clayton Kershaw and Miguel Cabrera have sported Wilson baseball gloves.
