Pros: Came in one day.... AWESOME. Ordered this for my son he loves it. Has been using Rawlings, bought an A2000 for third and pitching for both of my sons, they use the 1st base mitt and each have their own A2000, SSK and Rawlings used to be glove of choice for them. Both will use Wilson from now on. LOVE THE GLOVES AND SERVICE.

Cons: ZIP ZERO ZILCH

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB152800 First Base Mitt? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Would this glove be good for a 11 year old travel ball player? Liam
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB152800) First Base Mitt is a great choice for an 11 year old travel ball player.
Tom
What size 1st base mitt should a 15 year old 5 foot 10 player use? BOB
The size of first base mitt a player should use would be based more on the player's preference rather than their size. Some players like a longer glove for easier digging and the ability to snag high throws while others like a smaller glove for lighter weight and more maneuverability. The Wilson A2000 Series (A20152800) is a very common size for adult players.

I'm 6 foot 2 inches and 15 years old. Would the 12 inch glove be fine? I have pretty long arms to get the extension. Tyler D
You could certainly go with the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB152800 First Base Mitt and its 12.00 inch pattern if that is what feels best to you. Otherwise, we would recommend getting a 12.50 inch pattern.
Cameron
I have a nine year old (turns ten in April) playing select ball and, as a lefty, has played a lot of 1B and am thinking of getting this glove for him. His current glove is a 12" Mizuno Pro Soft Future Series bought two years ago. Michael
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB152800 First Base Mitt is a very good option for someone needing a 1B mitt. However, this glove will fit better on an adult hand as opposed to a youth player. The wrist opening and finger stalls on this model may be too big for someone who is 10 years old. Would recommend looking into a 12.00 inch youth pattern that will feature the smaller wrist opening and tighter finger stalls.
Cameron
Can you do any better price on used Wilson A2000? jay
The price tag on the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB152800 First Base Mitt unfortunately does not have any wiggle room.
Cameron
What are the differences between this mitt and A20RB16MC24GM (Miguel Cabrerra model) besides the coloration? TKLA
The Wilson Miguel Cabrera A2000 Series: A20RB16MC24GM features a wider post and web top in comparison to the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB152800 First Base Mitt which helps lock the ball in the pocket.
John P.
Is this glove new or used? Kyle
The only options we have for the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB152800 First Base Mitt are new at this time.
Jason
What is the difference in feel between a double heel break mitt and a single heel break mitt? pat
Double break points near the thumb and heel allow for optimal break-in, of which creates a mitt and pocket that are extremely secure and perfectly shaped.
Angelique
Do you have a left handed thrower? jose
Unfortunately, the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB152800 First Base Mitt is a discontinued glove and we no longer have a left handed thrower option available.
Jason
What is the difference between this glove and the Wilson 172800? lmi
This Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB152800 First Base Mitt) is essentially the same as the A2KRB172800. The only difference will be the cosmetics due to the year of release being different on the two mitts.
Ben
My daughter plays club ball and has small hands, measuring 6 inches from wrist to top middle finger. Will this glove work for her? She uses a 13 inch LS Xeno first base glove now. KEVIN M GILES
This glove is designed for adult baseball, so it will be designed for an adult male's hand size, meaning it will more than likely be too large. You will want to search for Fastpitch gloves, as they will be designed for a woman's hand.
Kyle J.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of this model vs. the Miguel Cabrera model? Dane
This Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB152800 First Base Mitt) and the Wilson Miguel Cabrera A2000 Series (A20RB16MC24GM First Base Mitt) will both feature the Pro Stock quality leather. As well, both mitts are built with a double-break heel, both have a single-post webbing and both have a 12.00" length. The biggest difference between the mitts will be the cosmetics.
