Pros: The A2000 is the standard for pro gloves. I have always been a fan of the them, specifically the 1788. Got this one when it went on sale. It is fantastic! Leather is second to none. Very stiff as a pro glove should be and the color scheme is cool too.

Cons: None

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 Series: A20151788A? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

How stiff will this glove feel to a comparable Rawlings or Nokona glove? getbuckets
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151788A) is made from Wilson's Pro Stock leather which is the top 15% of leather cuts. Due to the quality of the leather, the glove will be very durable. Typically, high leather quality relates to overall durability. However, the higher leather quality will be more expensive and fairly difficult to break in. Any glove made with higher quality leather will be very stiff initially and require extensive break-in.

My son likes this style webbing, but would like another color. Does it come in any other color, like a brown maybe? km
Unfortunately, we do not currently carry the Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151788A) in any other colors. The closest alternative in a classic brown will be the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A2000BBSS1788). However, there will be differences with the webbing pattern.

My 8 year old has been using an A2000 1798 11.50 for the past year. I want to get him an 11.25 inch glove. Would this be a good glove for him to have as his own? RP
If your son has already been using an A2000 model this Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151788A) would fit similarly on the inside of the glove. However, most players of that age would do well with the more secure fit of a smaller youth mitt like the A1K line.
Patrick
Does this come for a left handed thrower? Mas
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20151788A is not available for a left hand thrower.

Would this glove be good for a pitcher? Drose
An 11.25" glove like this Wilson A2000 Series (A20151788A) is usually considered a little small for use on the mound, but the glove does feature a modified trap web that will work for a pitcher (protect the pitcher's throwing hand from tipping off pitches to the batter). Overall, I think this will work for a pitcher.
Ben
Is this glove too small for shortstop? Jimmy
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20151788A has an 11.25" pattern and it is a great option for a shortstop.
Jason
Does this glove feel larger than 11.25 or shorter? Bobby
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20151788A is going to feel like every other 11.25" glove. Hope this helps.
Carter
My son is 12. Is this a good size glove for him? kim
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20151788A features a 11.25 inch design and is a great size for a 12 year old player. This glove will require some break-in on the player's behalf and the wrist opening is designed for an adult player which could cause some issues with younger players.
