Pros: This glove has unbeatable leather. It molds to hand unbelievably well. When I put my hand in this glove, my hand and the glove become one. This glove is sexy. It should be worth more money than it already is, best glove I have ever put on my hand.

Cons: None, buy it

Pros: Have had the glove for only about 60 hours. Glove arrived with such a good fit (2 in the pinky), pattern, and form (craftsmanship), and such good materials (terrific leather that seems slightly different from other A2000 leathers - maybe its the rolled, as opposed to the rough, dual welting, or that its blonde? - that I decided to risk no unwanted shaping from overstretching, creases, wrinkles, etc., so I've been breaking it in only by working (without pounding) the break points at the thumb and pinky bases, and by tossing a few hundred balls into the pocket. To date, I like the form (and function should follow form) of the glove better than my other two relatively recent purchases, a 2013 A2000 1796 and a 2014 A2K 1787. To date, seems it will be a terrific glove. My first 1786 and it seems to me to be as good as advertised - which is why I was determined to check it out. So far, I'm glad I did.

Cons: I fear the "colorway" will show dirt far more than my other two gloves, but pristine as it is right now, it's an eye-catcher, no doubt, looking better in person than in pictures and videos I've seen.

Pros: Addendum to my earlier review, made only 60 hours after I'd received the glove. Have now had the glove 4 months and have used it 5 - 7 days per week. The glove is terrific - it's all that I'd hoped it would be. It does not show use/dirt any more than my saddle tan glove (2013 A2000 1796). The glove allows truly great feel for the ball, is extremely comfortable, and has broken in with the form I'd wanted and without any unwanted wrinkles or creases. Laces are holding up very well. Seems like the glove will be very durable. Leather does seem slightly different from my other A2000's, but seems neither better nor worse and still seems excellent. Strongly recommend the glove to middle infielders (shortstops).

Cons: Wish I weren't so used to an 11 and 3/4" glove, as I occasionally miss the additional 1/4", particularly when stretching to backhand a low groundball - but, admittedly, most of that's probably due to my age (well past 40).

Pros: Long lasting glove not a deep pocket just right for infielders.

Cons: Takes a while to break in but don't steam this glove just play catch with it I've had mine for 2 days and I can catch every ball just fine don't be mad if it doesn't close all the way just takes time.

Pros: This glove is absolutely the best on the market. If you are looking for a good infield glove that will mold beautifully to your hand, you can't go past this one. Even though the coloration looks as though it would get dirty, I played an entire high school season, and it still looks as good, if not better than it did in the box.

Cons: The inside palm can get slippery if you have a sweaty hand. I would recommend tightening the wrist, which is very easy to do.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

How does the blonde color hold up to wear and tear long term, as it relates discoloration. My son is 14 playing JV second base. He is hoping this is the last stop on a glove through the end of high school. KBH
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) will hold up very well and feature a very durable Pro Stock leather. The blonde color will not affect the durability. It may show more dirt than a brown or black color though. This glove would definitely last him throughout high school. It would also be great for him currently at JV second base.
Brandon
About the color, once it gets dirty is it hard to clean because of the blonde leather? Luke Trawler
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) blone leather will not be hard to clean even though it will show more dirt than a darker leather.
Tom
This is a good looking glove, but is it a good glove for a 1st basemen or center fielder? joe
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) will be produced to be used primarily by a middle infielder (shortstop or second base). We would not recommend using it at first base or in the outfield.
Ben
Is this glove too big for my 12 year old son who plays 3rd base? Alex
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) is an 11.50" model that would be a great size for a 12 year old at 3rd base.
Damon
My hand is 7 inches long and 5 inches wide. Would This glove be big on my hand? I have heard from other people that the leather on this glove is better than the leather on other A2000 gloves. Is this true? Dinger
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) will have a fairly standard adult fit so if other adult gloves fit well for you, this should work. It will have similar quality leather compared to other models in the A2000 series.
Patrick
How heavy is this glove in grams? redsox04
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) weighs approximately 562 grams (weight per glove can vary slightly).
Patrick
Will this glove keep a flared design? jerry
If stored in a way that will promote a flared catching surface, the Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) model should keep a flared look.
Ben
Would this glove be good for pitching? ev
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) is typically better suited for an infielder because of its 11.50 pattern and I-Web. The majority of pitchers prefer a glove that is 12" and has more of a closed web.
Jason
How does this compare to the Rawlings Pro Preferred PROS15MTBR glove? Which one will hold a better flare and which one would be better for middle infield? Jack
Both the Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) and the Rawlings Pro Preferred Series (PROS15MTBR) would compare well and would be good options for what you are looking for. I will say that the I-web style on the A2000 1786 would be a more common option for middle infield.
Patrick
Is this a good glove for a third baseman? Bob
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) would be a good option for a third baseman.
Tom
Do the Wilson gloves come in the Wilson wrapped plastic covering when shipped? Are the gloves really delivered 5 days after being shipped? Cano22
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) will come carefully packed in a JustBallGloves.com box and in the plastic that they come in from the manufacturer. Our free standard shipping is guaranteed within 5 business days after the purchase was made. Usually we are slightly quicker than that based on which location you are shipping to.
Patrick
Which is better, this one or Rawlings mocha Pro Preferred? Bradog
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) and Rawlings Pro Preferred are both going to be excellent gloves. The main difference between the two is going to be the leather quality. The Pro Preferred will have a higher quality leather which will provide for a more durable glove, but will also require more effort to break in than the A2000. The A2000 will not have as high quality leather as the Pro Preferred so it will be easier to break-in, but may not have the durability of the Pro Preferred.
Jake
Does this glove play shallow compared to a Rawlings PRO200? johnny basebsll
The pocket depth on the Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) compares similarly to the Rawlings Heart of the Hide Game Day Series (PRO200-2PB).
Patrick
Is this glove better than the DP15? Ben
Both the Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) and the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A20RB15DP15GM) are very good gloves. The biggest difference is going to be the fit of each glove. The DP15 is going to have a more snug fit compared to the regular A2000.
Jake
What is the best way to break in this glove? TJ
We recommend using glove oil to break in the Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786). Our Justbats.com Glove Care Kit has all of the tools we recommend for the proper glove break in.
Frankie
Could this glove last me four years? B7a9y
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) is designed with high quality leather to make a long lasting durable glove. I am unable to put a specific time period on how long the glove will last.
Frankie
Do you guys have this glove in 11.75? Andy
This specific Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) model is an 11.5 inch size. The 11.75 inch model would be the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB151787SS).
Patrick
If I wanted to make a big pocket on this glove could I do that? Sincere
If you would like to form the pocket on the Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) you could place a baseball in the pocket with some large rubber bands placed around the glove. If you are wanting a larger pocket you can use a softball instead of a baseball.
Jake
Why are they so expensive? Donkeydumper
The leather used to make the Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) is going to be high quality, durable and long lasting; making the glove more expensive.
Frankie
If the glove is harder to break-in, is it more durable? Which glove is more durable; this or the A20RB151787SS? linwood burke
Both the Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) and the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB151787SS) will have similar durability and quality. The SuperSkin model would be a bit lighter and a bit easier to break-in but should retain its shape fairly similarly to the 1786.
Patrick
What is the return policy for this glove? domingoayala
Here at JustBallGloves, we have a 100 day guarantee on all our gloves that allows customers to purchase a glove and use it, then if within 100 days of the purchase they decide that the glove is not to their liking they can send it back to us for a full refund or exchange. Ultimately you would risk no money if you wanted to try out this Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786)!
Ben
Is brick red when you are customizing a glove maroon because I can not get a red glove. theqb
If you were to customized a Wilson glove and use the brick red color scheme the glove would be a moroon/crimson color.
Cameron
Would you recommend a 11.5 or 11.75 for a 12 year old who plays mostly infield? Eamus Catuli
We would recommend getting the Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) in a 11.50 inch pattern.
Cameron
Would you recommend getting an 11.25 or 11.5 inch model for a short stop? bob
11.5 inch patterns like the Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) are a bit more common for middle infielder but an 11.25 inch model could work as well. The choice would ultimately come down to your personal preferences.
Patrick
Do you think this glove would be good for an 11 year old third baseman? manny
Given that the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 is an Adult model glove, it may have too large of a fit for an 11 year old player. I would suggest considering an 11.25" Youth glove for a player of that age.
Marcus
Does the blonde color way show dirt more than a black or brown glove? If so how would I clean it? EL
I do believe that the blonde colorway of the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 will show dirt more than a black or brown glove. I have included a link to our glove care page below for you to check out. http://www.justballgloves.com/glove-resource-guide/glove-care-products/
John P.
Will my hand fit this glove or do I need to get a DP15 glove? I'm 15 years old and my hand is 7 1/2 inches long and 3 1/4 inches wide. Cano22
Based on the size of your hand, the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 or a DP15 model could work well for you. The DP15 and the smaller wrist opening might be more of an ideal fit than the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786. Based on your finger length though, the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 and the bigger finger stalls might be a better fit over the DP15.
Cameron
Would this be a good glove for a 16 year old with a thick hand? J baseball
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 features an 11.50 inch pattern and would be perfect for a 16 year old playing infield.
John P.
Will it be good for a 12 year old playing infield? johnny baseball
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 is a great glove for an infielder with its 11.50 inch pattern and I-Web. With that said, the fit maybe too big (wrist opening and finger stalls) for a player who is 12. The other thing to consider is the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 will take some time to break-in and this could be problematic for a younger player.
Cameron
I am a 16 year old second basemen. Between this glove and the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A20RB15DP15GM which would be a better fit for second base at the high school varsity level. My hand size is average. Jack
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 and the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A20RB15DP15GM both feature an 11.50 inch pattern. The main difference between the two is that the latter features a Pedroia Fit meaning that there will be a smaller hand opening and tighter finger stalls for a more secure fit.
John P.
is there an equivalent glove for a 12 year old left hander? I only see right hand option. Colster8
Unfortunately, the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 glove does not come in a left handed thrower. The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB161789 will feature an 11.50" pattern and we currently have that glove in stock for a left handed thrower.
Nick
In the blonde leather when I oil the glove will the leather turn dark? chris y.
When glove oil is applied to the Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) there might be a slight darkening for a short period of time, but it will not be anything significant.
Jake
What is difference of an 11.50 inch adult glove and a 11.50 inch youth glove? steve
The main difference is going to be the fact that a youth glove will have a smaller hand opening and tighter finger stalls that are geared for a youth player's hand. The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 will feature an adult fit.
John P.
Would this be good for a third baseman that's 12? sluggah
Yes, the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 would be great for a third basemen of your age. The 11.5" pattern would be an ideal fit.
Nick
How do I make sure that I get an adult sized glove? Tazman1
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 is an adult glove. A youth glove will have the word "youth" included in the model name and/or product code. The glove features will also indicate if it is a youth model.
Angelique
Would this be good for a high school 3rd baseman? mindfreeze
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 has an 11.50" pattern and it would work very well for a high school 3rd baseman.
Jason
Would this glove get dirty fast because of the colorway? chaser
There is a chance that the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 will get dirty because of the blonde / black / red colorway. Please refer to our glove resource guide below for our glove care tips. http://www.justballgloves.com/glove-resource-guide/glove-care-products/
John P.
Can you put your name on this glove? Chase R Forsyth
Unfortunately, we do not offer the ability to customize the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786. We do have a Wilson Custom Glove Builder where you can customize a Wilson A2000 from scratch. I have provided a link below to that glove builder. http://www.justballgloves.com/product/wilson-custom-glove/23572/
John P.
When did the A2000 come out? savio
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 was released on 7/21/2014.
Cameron
What is a good age for this glove? Naterz
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 is a 11.50 inch pattern featuring Pro Stock Leather. This would be a great glove for a high school or college infielder.
Cameron
Is this a good glove for a 12 year old shortstop? Naterz
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 is a 11.50 inch pattern featuring Pro Stock Leather. This glove will require some break-in time and the adult fit (wrist opening and finger stalls) may cause an issue with fit for a 12 year old.
Cameron
So what's the best A2000 for a 12 year old shortstop? Naterz
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) would be a great option for your son.
Jake
Do you ship to Canada? Naterz
Unfortunately we do not have the ability to ship outside of the United States. Sorry about that.
Carter
Would this glove be good for a 13 year old second basemen? Also would this glove be good with my small hands? dale
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) would be a good option for you. If you have smaller hands I might recommend also taking a look at the 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB16DP15SS) which feature the Pedoria fit and is designed for players who need a smaller tighter fitting glove.
Jake
Would this glove be good for a 13 year old with a small hand at second base? dale
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 will probably fit too loose on the hand on a 13 year old if the player has smaller hands. Would recommend going with a Dustin Pedroia fit model such as the Wilson A2000 Limited Edition Baseball Glove: A2000BBDP15GM Black/Red. This type of glove will feature smaller hand opening and tighter finger stalls for more secure fit.
Cameron
What is the best glove for a 12 year old shortstop? Terminator
This Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) has the potential to be a great option of glove for a 12 year old shortstop. This glove comes with an 11.5" length that is optimal for a middle infielder. However, the fitting is for more of an adult hand. That being said, if you feel that your hand will fit fine in an adult glove or you want an option into which you can grow, I would definitely consider this A20RB151786.
Ben
My son is 14 years old and is a big kid with big hands. Would you suggest a 11.75" glove over a 11.5"? The 11.5" looks small on his hand but he likes it. Nella
Our general recommendation for a 14 year old player is 11.75" if they play multiple positions. If your son is a middle infielder, the 11.5" may be a better size as a smaller glove allows for quicker ball transfer to the throwing hand. Either one would be a suitable size for his age, but it is largely dependent on personal preference and what he is comfortable using.
Angelique
Is this glove the best glove on the market for a second baseman? tommy
A lot of picking out a glove is going to be personal preference. With that being said the Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) is an extremely good glove for a second baseman and a very high quality glove.
Carter
Is this glove good for a 3B playing high school ball that would last a long time? james
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) is going to be a top of the line Wilson glove. With its Pro Stock Leather it is going to last you a long time. I would imagine it would last you all of high school.
Carter
How do I change the glove size? Peyton Benesh
Unfortunately, the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 is only available in a 11.50" size and you cannot change the glove size for this model. If you are looking for a different size you would have to go with a different model all together or custom make a glove.
Jason
Is this a good glove for infield? jalani hudnall
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) is an excellent option for infielders. It is an extremely high quality glove and with its Pro Stock Leather it should last a very long time.
Carter
Do you have this glove for a left handed player? T
Unfortunately, the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 was not made for a left handed thrower.
Jason
Is this glove 11.75, if not, could it be shipped as 11.75 and do you ship to Montreal, Canada? Ryan
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) is an 11.5" glove and unfortunately at this time we do not have the ability to ship to Canada. Sorry about that.
Carter
What's the best way to clean a SuperSkin glove? eddie
The best way to clean a glove that features SuperSkin is to lightly dampen a rag and then gently scrub off any excess dirt.
Cameron
Is this glove super soft skin? b dog
The Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB151786) does not feature any Super Skin.

Kyle J.
Is this the glove that Dansby Swanson uses? bobby
No, the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 is not the exact model Dansby Swanson uses. It is very similar but it appears that his glove is an 11.75'' and has navy laces.
Tori

I have had this glove for almost two years now, still great. However, I'm thinking about getting a Rawlings. I hear that a Wilson 11.5 is equivalent to a Rawlings 11.25. Is this true? Baseball guy
We have not heard that the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 models run smaller in size. No two gloves listed at 11.50 will be exactly alike as the length is measured when the leather is laid out flat before the glove it put together. How a player forms the glove will also determine just how "big" the glove will actually play.
Cameron
Can this be used for pitching and 3rd base? B
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 is not a great fit for both 3B and pitching. This glove features an I-Web and pitchers will want to use a closed web. Glove you may want to consider is the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB161789.

I am going to be 15 and I am short but with a medium size hands. Would this fit? Kiki baseball
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 is certainly a great glove to consider for a high school age player. This glove does not feature the Pedroia fit but should still work well for someone with smaller hands. A glove is always one of personal preference so what feels comfortable to one player may not be the same to the next though.

The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB151786 is an adult glove so it could be a little big on him. If you are worried about that I would take a look at the Pedroia fit. This glove will take a bit longer because of the high quality of leather. I would say a good month.
