Hey do you think this would be a good glove size for a 13-14 year old 3rd baseman WR
Yes the A2000BB1787 Would be a good model for you.

My son Adam is 13. He plays 1st base and 2nd. He has a 11.50" A2000 glove and says his hand doesn't fit up into the glove far enough. The glove is only 3 yrs old, maybe it is a youth version I don't know. What can I do or switch to so he feels his hand fits better into the glove? doc
Based on the description of his current glove, it is probably a youth model. Youth models have smaller/shorter finger stalls, easier for a younger player to open and close. The Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1787 is an adult glove and would be a better fit for his age.
Kara
Is this for adults/high school? Pres
The Wilson A2000 Series (A2000BB1787) is designed for players with adult sized hands and is made to hold up against higher levels of competition.
Jason
do you recommend this a2000 glove or the a2k version for someone who plays showcase ball? Peter
This Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1787 features very high quality of leather. The A2K will feature similar leather, but will only use the top 5% of leather and feature expert craftsmanship from Wilson glove care technicians. Both gloves are very high quality and come with our 100 day guarantee.

What is the difference between A2000 and an A2k? druzick
The Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1787 uses a lower grade of leather than the A2K models. The A2K will be more durable, but harder to break-in.
Kara
What glove would you recommend for a 13 year old 3rd baseman: the Wilson A2000 or the Rawlings Heart of the Hide? druzick
The Wilson A2000 Series (A2000BB1787) and the Rawlings Heart of the Hide gloves are both very good. They both use high end leather for great durability.
Kara
I am about to become a freshman in high school. I play third base. Right now I have an outfield glove which my current coach told me will be too big for the next level. Is this the right glove for me? thefrentos
Yes. The A2000 Series (A2000BB1787) is an ideal glove for your age and position.
Damon
I pitch and play 3rd base. May I use this glove for both positions? alhall8
The I-Web of the Wilson A2000 Series (A2000BB1787) is manufactured with infielders in mind. This may not be the best glove for a pitcher because hitters could potentially see your fingers.

What is the difference between the A2000 1787 and the A1K 1787? hyde
The leather quality and fit on the players hand would be the two biggest differences between this Wilson A2000 Series (A2000BB1787) and the A1K 1787 model. The A2000 Series is made of a higher quality Pro Stock Leather, compared to the Jet Black Top Shelf Leather, but the A1K Series will offer a more snug fit on the player's hand. Both would feature the same 11.75" pattern size.
Mac
My son plays 13U travel ball and plays shortstop, but he has pretty big hands. Would you recommend this model or the A1KBB41787? Ed
With the Pedroia Fit of the (A1KBB41787), I can't guarantee that the A1K Series would fit your son's hand very well. If you're set on the 11.75" pattern, which is just a bit bigger than the 11.50" pattern that's typically used by a shortstop, the Wilson A2000 Series (A2000BB1787) would be a great choice.
Mac
Does the 1787 support two fingers in the pinky? Joe
Yes, a player with an average size hand can comfortably fit two fingers in the pinky stall of the Wilson A2000 Series (A2000BB1787).
John H
Does this glove fit well for playing 3rd, SS, and 2nd? jack
The Wilson A2000 Series (A2000BB1787) and its 11.75" size would be appropriate for all infield positions except first base.
Brandon
Is this glove too small for Outfield? I use a 12" model currently, so will it make a difference? I also play middle infield that's why I use a smaller glove. Josh
The Wilson A2000 Series (A2000BB1787) has an 11.75" pattern and can be used for both outfield and infield. Typically, a 12" pattern is the ideal size for utility players, because. It ultimately comes down to player preference and what they are comfortable with.
Jason
I asked a similar question earlier, but is this glove suitable for pitchers color-wise? Is the dark grey still enough to ban it as a pitching glove? jamesjhcho
The Wilson A2000 Series (A2000BB1787) is black and silver/grey. The color would not impact its use or legality.
Damon
Does this glove feel like Mizuno Pro Soft, like padding and comfortable? Mike
Both gloves have a similar feel size-wise, however the Wilson A2000 Series (A2000BB1787) doesn't have quite as soft a feel as the Mizuno glove.
