Pros: I really loved this glove. I pitch for the Thomas University Nighthawks, and this glove got me through my freshman year of college baseball. It was great. Durable, took a beating from the weather, and held up nicely all season long. It's still good to go now, I just wanted to retire it before I loved it too hard. Great glove, definitely worth every penny.

Cons: I want it to last forever.

Pros: Have a custom and I love it. Breaks in nice, forms beautifully, and looks great. Worth every penny, but all A2000's are.

Cons: Center of the palm is extremely thin.

Pros: Great. Going on its fourth year of life. Oil it about once every two weeks and it looks almost as new as day one. Great pocket, keeps its form for years. Best pitching glove on the market for a steal. Tried Rawlings, tried Roy Hobbs, tried Shoeless Joe, tried TPX/Louisville Slugger. This glove outlasts and outperforms all.

Cons: Lasts awhile, though I have to have the pocket's laces replaced after 3 1/2 years. All other laces still original.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000 ASOB? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

This is a baseball glove not a softball glove? And will the finger sleeve rip off the glove? jim
This is going to be a glove that can be used in either baseball or softball. This glove is going to have a big enough pocket to be used in softball. It might take a little getting use to in softball, but it will work.
Todd
Just want to make sure this glove has the sleeve for the left index finger. bnhlm
Yes, it does have the finger sleeve.
Linda
is this glove the correct size for a soon to be 11 year old who is 4 11.5 inches tall? deano
This is an adult glove and will be too big for an 11 year old. I would go with a youth model Wilson A2000 Showcase Series: A2000 SCB2 Youth.
Kara
How do you flare this glove? I want this glove cuz im going to be a d1 college pitcher next year and want a glove that conceals the ball and has the finger sleeve.I tried to flare my other a2000el3, but I could only flare the thumb prob cuz I didn't use oil or conditioner on it. Just played catch with it and formed it as it got softer. CSU pitcher
Pretty simple... As you break you're glove in, just keep shaping it the way you want it. Even when you're just sitting around the house, be sure you have the glove in your hands and are molding it the way you want it. A little glove oil at the start will help as well.
Tyler
what glove is better, this or a Rawlings Heart of the hide JS8
You can't go wrong with either of these gloves. They are both very high quality gloves, but the Rawlings Heart of the Hide will probably break in a little quicker than the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000 ASOB.

What size glove for an infielder would be perfect for a high school softball? 11.50,11.75 or 12 adf0227
A 12" glove would be ideal for infield play in softball. An 11.75" would work as well but a 11.50" glove would be too small for softball.
Tom
Would this glove work to pitch and play infield in high school? billy
Yes. At 12", the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000 ASOB is a great option for a High School utility player.
Tyler
Would this glove be better used for Softball or Baseball? Denise
Constructed with a deep basket web, this glove would be suitable for both styles of ball play. Along with the versatiliy, it's durability can be attributed to the Pro Stock Leather chosen for this model. I have a son who plays varsity high school outfield and pitches, would this 12" glove work well for both or should he get a larger glove for outfield? George Jetson
If your son pitches more than he is in the outfield the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000 ASOB 12.00" would be the correct size. If he plays outfield more than pitching we recommend a 12.50" glove.
Kara
What Rawlings glove is comparable to the the Wilson A2000? Scott
The Rawlings Heart of the Hide is going to be the closest glove in feel and quality to the Wilson A2000.
Noah
