Pros: Great quality glove. The leather retains its shape well. It's a very stiff glove when you get it but it breaks in pretty quickly. Better for a pitcher or third basemen because the trapeze web isn't very shortstop friendly.

Cons: The trapeze web broke the glove in with a little deeper pocket than I would've typically liked. Leather gets dirty easily. Glove is a little heavy. Overall impression is that I like how wilson put a trapeze web on an infield glove, but I don't know how well it would work for someone who wants to have a glove that will last four years and be able to have a quick transfer. But honestly if you're at third or pitcher you can't go wrong with this glove. You can also use it in the outfield if you're 10-12 because of the trapeze web.

Love This Glove Warrior 21 player

Pros: Rhere is not one aslect of this glove I do not love. Im a utility player, so its good to have a glove I can pitch with and then go to anywere else and still be fine.

Cons: No problems whatsoever. Break in time is long, as is to be expected from any quality glove.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BBOTIF? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

This is the first 6 finger trapeze style glove available for the middle infield that I've seen. Any reason for that? should I look for different style such as a modified trapeze or will this be sturdy enough. This is intended to get my son through high school. Tom
Anymore, glove webbing comes down to the personal preference of the player. The Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BBOTIF is made with high quality leather that is very durable. A2000 Series gloves are known to last 3, 4, or more years.

I am a 12 year old who is 5' 2" and 80. I play pitcher and third base. Would this glove be good for me? Ryan
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BBOTIF would be perfect for a pitcher and a 3rd baseman.
Noah
My son is 9 years old. I was wondering if this glove would be good for that age or would the Wilson A1K Series: A1K2BB4OTIF model be a better choice? He plays 3rd base and pitcher. DF
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BBOTIF is going to be designed for an adult hand and may be too big for a 9 year old. The Wilson A1K series is specifically designed for smaller hands and would be a better fit for someone of that age. I'm looking for a good quality glove for a player to use almost exclusively at pitcher. He is 13 years old and we would like to use this glove for a number of years. I'm looking for something soft and not too stiff- maybe 11.5 size- would you recommend this glove? What else would fit the bill? Jump
With any glove, the largest factor in price determination will be the quality of leather used. Higher grades of leather are more expensive, however they will also be much more stiff initially. Additionally, the higher grades of leather tend to last longer and be a little more durable. The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BBOTIF) is ideal as a utility infield-pitcher model offered in the 11.50 inch pattern. Additionally, it will feature the Pro-Stock American Steerhide leather. This glove will be fairly stiff at first and require a break-in period as well as pocket formation. Another model you could consider that would be ideal for a pitcher is the Rawlings GG Gamer Series Derek Jeter Model (GGDJ2). The leather on the GGDJ2 would be easier to break-in, and it is offered in a basket web in the 11.50 inch model.

Could I put two fingers in the pinky stall on this glove? Maximus
Yes, you could put two fingers in the pinky stall of the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BBOTIF) but it may be slightly tight. I see more of the two finger approach on larger outfield glove models.
Brandon
I have a 19 year old son starting to play 3rd base for his college baseball team. Would this glove be recommended? steve
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BBOTIF) would be a great model for that position and that level of play.
Patrick
In the picture the glove is a right handed glove for a lefty but it says its a left handed glove for a right handed thrower? johnny baseball
We currently only have the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BBOTIF) available in a right handed thrower option. The model pictured is a glove for a left handed thrower but that is just for the purpose of viewing the glove's features and style. At one point we had both right handed thrower and left handed thrower available.
Patrick
Would this glove be a good glove to use in the outfield with the trapeze? I thought it was mainly for the outfield. johnny baseball
The 11.5 inch size of the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BBOTIF) would be better suited for infield style play. Most outfield gloves would be a longer pattern.
Patrick
My son is 13 and plays second base and short stop. Would this be a good glove for him? baseball dad
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BBOTIF) is designed for second base and short stop and would be an excellent glove for a 13 year old.
