Big swipe

Pros: I play middle infield and this pocket is just perfect before this glove I had a dual core heart of the hide 11.75 and never thought I'd switch but this glove is perfect. It takes about 2 weeks to break in and it looks small at first but stretches a little after play into perfect size. The palm has nice padding not to much or to little and forms perfect to your hand !

Cons: It's a little small but doesn't mean nothing to me

Big swipe again

Pros: Usually I play middle infield but I played 2 games with it at third (highschool ball) and got a couple of shots hit to me, this glove was perfect size which made a easy quik transfer since it's only 11.25. I'd recommend this to a infielder who's looking for a glove with a nice pocket and trying to get a faster transfer. Best glove ever !

Cons: A little small but puts in work !

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

I have this same glove but I bought it with an orange pocket, is there a way that I can dye the pocket so that it is all black? If so is there a product that you sell that can do this? nock-em-out
I am not aware of any products that dye leather. You might look in the yellow pages in your area for a leather smith.
Linda
About how long would it take to break this glove in and how long will it hold its shape, Also would this be a good glove for a freshman second baseman? lets play two
Excellent choice! This is a very well made glove and should last you through your high school career. It is a top quality glove and will take a little to break in. but well worth it.
Linda
I'm in 8th grade, will this last me through high school? Also what should I use to break it in? air desmond
Yes, this glove will get you through high school depending on what position you play
John
Is this glove the exact same as the A2000 1788ss? If not, which is better and is this good for third base? air desmond
These gloves are going to very similar. The BB1788 is going to be the best for third base. 11.25 is a very popular size for that position
Ryan
Is this glove good for a child age 7? Big Daddy
This is an adult glove and may be too big for a 7 year old. Please take a look at our youth glove selection which will be a better choice.
Kris
I am new to this Wilson A2000 I want know, about how long it will take to break in? Is this a good glove for a junior pitcher? Punky
If you are diligent and work with it every day it shouldn't take more than a week and a half or so to break in. It'll be a good glove for you.
Tyler
I am 11 years old, if I have this glove from now for like 6 years do you think it will be too small in high school? diamondnation2662
Depends on what positions you play. If you play strictly infield, you should still be able to use this glove for a long time. If you play outfield at all, this size glove will probably be too small once you get into high school.
Tyler
Where was this glove made and is this leather top notch as the older Wilson's and will you get this in the 1786 version? leo
Wilson gloves are made in the Philippines. The leather is as high of a quality as ever. The only 1786 version will be model A2000BB1786ST.
Tyler
I'm looking at buying this glove, is it a good glove a shortstop and 3rd baseman? Texas00125
This is a great glove for infield players. This glove has a shallow pocket and is very durable. Adding some Wilson glove oil will make this glove break in quicker and become more game ready.
Kris
I have a 6 year old who has the A450 but thinking about buying this to get ready for the next year. If this glove too big for a 7 year old? What about the finger size? He is probably going to always be a middle infielder. BOB
The Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1788 is an adult glove and will probably be too big for a 7 year old player. I would suggest looking at a youth model glove, as these will have a smaller wrist opening and more narrow finger stalls that will better fit a young players hand.
Jennifer
What are the differences between the A2000 and the A2K in terms of weight, softness and durability? baseballguyr
The A2K is a little higher in quality than the A2000. The A2K will be a little stiffer as the A2000 will be just a little softer. Weight is equal. The A2K will be just a little more durable as it's made from a slightly higher quality leather.
Tyler
I have a 10 year old with this glove be too big for him? Baseball dad
The Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1788 should be a good fit for your son.
Tom
What is the return policy on the glove if I don't like it? taz
At JustBallGloves we strive to make the shopping experience for you as worry free and enjoyable as possible. We understand that choosing a new glove can be overwhelming because of our huge selection and the inability to try different gloves on before you make a purchase. Because of this, we offer a worry-free, 100 day return policy on all of our gloves. At JustBallGloves we allow you to purchase a glove and return it for an exchange or full refund within 100 days of purchase for any reason. You can return the glove if it is too big, too small or if you're just not satisfied with it. You can even oil and break in the glove and still return it if it does not fit to your liking.
Sean
I am 12, play infield and like a snug fit glove. Is this a good glove for me? baseball man15
Yes. The Wilson A2000 BB1788 is an infielder's glove and will provide a snug fit.
Damon
I am a softball player and plays second base and outfield. Do you think this is a good mitt for me? JojoC9
That all depends on the age of the player. I recommend our glove coach. It's a great tool: http://www.justballgloves.com/glove-coach/
Tyler
I'm a freshman in high school will this glove last me though high school? I play shortstop. A.D.
The Wilson A2000 Series is made of high quality leather for great durability and will last several seasons.
Kara
Is this technically the DP15 A2000 just smaller? And color? Diamond_Legend_SS
Yes, the Wilson A2000BB1788 is .25" smaller than the DP15, but they both have the same I-Web and the same leather.
Tom
My son is 12 and plays on a competitive team. He plays shortstop, third base and pitcher. He is looking to replace a worn Mizuno Prospect Series with a good glove that will last many years. He is slender and has small hands. He is looking at this glove and the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BBDP15GM. Any recommendations between the two, or perhaps another glove? RM
The Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1788 would be a great choice, but the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BBDP15GM may work a little better. The A2000BBDP15GM has a smaller hand opening and finger stalls that would work better for a smaller hand. It is also an 11.50" glove, which would work well for a pitcher, shortstop, and third baseman.
Nick
My son is 10 yrs old, plays very competitive travel ball (70 games a yr) and plays 2nd base. Has a Rawlings Gamer and is starting to get floppy and thinking of the A2000 11.25 or the A2000 Super Skin 11.25. Which would you recommend? joe
Both the A2000 gloves are equal in quality and durability. The Superskin Series will be a little lighter in weight though, which may be better for a younger player.
Tyler
My son is 11 years old and is a bit on the small side (5 ft. even and 92 lbs). He plays on a pretty competitive travel team. He plays 3B, SS and pitcher. His 11.25 inch Mizuno glove has gotten somewhat floppy after a year of use. Do you think he'd be better off with the DP15 or the 1788? Which one is lighter? Brenk
An 11.25" glove like the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1788 would be better suited for an 11 year old who plays mostly infield. It will be a little lighter than the DP15 as it's a slightly smaller glove.
Tyler
What is the best way to break in this glove without buying the glove care kit? aman
The Glove Care Kit is designed to help you break-in your new glove the correct way and help maintain your glove from season to season. Although the Glove Care Kit makes it easier to break in a glove it is possible to break in your glove without it. The best way to break in your glove is to use specially designed glove oil. Glove oil keeps the leather 'alive' while providing a softening condition and minimizing weight gain. Apply a small amount of glove oil to a sponge or cloth, then use the sponge or cloth to apply the oil to the areas of the glove that are currently firm. Start with the palm, the break point of the glove and then web. Then use the glove oil on all other parts of the glove including the entire inside to help moisturize and protect the glove. Work the glove oil into the leather evenly. Do not apply the glove oil directly to the glove, as it will be too concentrated at the point of application.
Jeff
Can this glove be good for a seven year old or would the SS 1796 SuperSkin youth 11.25 be better for him? NikoZayne
The Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1788 is an adult glove and would be too large for a seven year old player. Based on his age, we recommend a 10.00" to a 10.50" youth glove.
Kara
Does this glove have a bigger pocket than the Wilson DP15? Baseball15
Due to the fact that the Wilson A2000BB1788 and the Wilson A2000BBDP15GM both feature an I-Web, the size of the pocket will be very similar.
Tom
I'm 17, shortstop. Is this large enough? baseballplayerr
Based on your age and position, we recommend a 11.50" Wilson A2000 Series.
Kara
I am seventeen years old and play for my high school team. I am wondering if this glove would be good for a second basemen and if it would be too small? Kaiden
The Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1788 would be a good choice for you. An 11.25" or 11.5" glove is most common for middle infielders of High School age and older.
Tyler
Does this glove have a moisture wicking padding under the wrist guard portion? Kaiden
Yes, the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1788 glove will feature the Dri-Lex Technology. It will have that moisture wicking padding right under the wrist opening.
Brandon
Do you guys carry this in an 11.50"? THE
The closest Wilson A2000 Series in an 11.50" would be the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: G4BSS. Here is the link. http://www.justballgloves.com/product/wilson-a2000-superskin-series--g4bss/12602/
Nick
Would this glove be ok for a third baseman as well as middle infielders? Devon
Thw Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1788 is a glove at 11.25". Depending on your age, a high school or college player at Third Base should use a 11.75" glove. This may be a little small. This glove would be more suited for the Middle Infielders. Try this one: http://www.justballgloves.com/product/wilson-a2000-series--a2000bbbw38gm/14331/
Brandon
Will this glove be good for middle infield or should I get an 11.5" I play second base more than shortstop. Richard
The 11.25" Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1788 baseball glove would be ideal for a high school infielder. The recommended glove size for high school infielders is 11.0" to 12.0" so this glove is definitely a good choice for an infielder.
Jeff
Which would you recommend, the SuperSkin or the regular leather? Adam
Both baseball glove leathers are great, but they are different. The SuperSkin will be a lighter weight glove for those who wish to play with a glove that is not as heavy.
Jeff
How does this glove compare in leather quality, craftsmanship & durability to the Mizuno Classic Pro GCC40S? BBall0205
The Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1788 glove will be an 11.25" design. It will be made from Pro Stock American Steerhide. This glove is preferred by infielders. It also will use Wilson's Dri-Lex Technology and provide dual welting. This glove will take longer to break-in than the Mizuno. The leather on this glove is higher in quality and more durable than that of the Mizuno. That being said, the Mizuno Classic Pro Soft Series: GCP40S will be super comfortable and game ready from day one. This infield model is made from Throwback Style Leather and has a Deep 3 web. The ultra soft palm liner and roll welting will provide maximum comfort in this 11.25" design.
Brandon
Is this glove very heavy? bobyjoe
No. The Wilson A2000BB1788 is the typical weight for a glove this size.
Damon
Can I still get an A2000 BG 1788? (Black/Grey) v
Unfortunately, the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000 1788BG is discontinued and no longer in production. We do not have any in stock.
Tyler
Which glove is more durable for the long haul the Wilson A2000 Series A2000BB1788 or the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series 1788BSS? I am torn on which glove to purchase and am looking for something more beneficial one way or the other. JMAC
Both the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1788 and Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series 1788BSS are comprised of Pro Stock Steer Hide Leather, so they will be very durable and long-lasting. The main difference between the two is SuperSkin on the 1788BSS glove repels moisture.
Marcus
I understand that the Superskin is lighter but which glove is better? The Superskin or the regular A2000? STM
The palm will feature the same great Pro Stock leather. The difference is the outter shell of the Superskin material. It is very light weight. If you want a lighter glove. Go Superskin. If not, the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1788 would be awesome.
Brandon
Can you buy replacement webbing for this glove? G
We do not sell replacement webbing for the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1788. If you purchased the glove withing the last 100 days from us you may return it for an exchange or refund.
Kara
Is it a kid's glove? Odog
The Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1788 will be an adult middle infielder's glove at the 11.25" size.
Brandon
I am 10 years old and I play on a really competitive travel team, I play mostly infield shortstop, third base and pitcher. Would the Wilson A2000 11.25" work for me? My old glove is a Rawlings 10 inch that is way too small for me. odoggydoo13
The Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1788 is the perfect size for your age and positions.
Kara
I am going into high school and I'll be about 5'6" 130 lbs. I was wondering if this glove or the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BBG4ST would be better for 2 or so seasons. I do have small hands and I know both gloves would be great. I play mainly second but I could move to shortstop. Baseball Rep
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 glove will be 11.25" in size. The A2000BBG4ST will actually be 11.50". I would go with the bigger size to ensure you'll be able to get 2-3 seasons use from it.
Brandon
I'm not sure if I should get the 1788 11.25" or the 1786 11.50". I play for my high school. I play 2B most of the time and little bit of SS. I also have average size hands. Dave
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1786 should be the perfect fit for an average sized short stop player.
Noah
I am 14 and I play on a freshman team. I am 5 foot 4 inches and play 3rd base and sometimes outfield. Do I need a bigger glove than this? Right now I have an 11 inch Wilson A1825. Keegan
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 is too small for an third baseman and outfielder. We recommend a 11.75" glove.
Kara
I'm 13 years old and play Babe Ruth. I was interested in the A2000BB1788. I play 3rd base, pitch, and some short stop. I have medium sized hands and was wondering if this was the glove for me? Brayden
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 is a high quality mitt and would be a good size for middle infield. You may want to consider a bigger glove for 3rd and pitcher.
Damon
I'm ten and currently have a Rawlings Gold glove Gamer. Is this the right glove for me? I'm 5' 2" and 87 lbs. mikey
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 is an adult glove. We recommend a youth glove for your age. The Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Showcase Baseball Glove: SCDW5SS Youth would be a good alternative.
Kara
Very interested in this glove. I am 13 and going into 8th grade. I play shortstop and would like to know what size you suggest. Jack
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 is a great middle infielder glove and is the size we would recommend for your age.
Damon
I'm going into my sophomore year of high school. Is this glove too small? I play shortstop. ryanpowerhitter
The 11.25" pattern size of the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 is on the smaller end of the recommended range for short stop (11.25", 11.50", 11.75"), but it could still be used for that position by a player your age.
Mac
Which player in the MLB uses this glove? And how long does the glove stay in good shape for? Dylan
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 could be used by many MLB players. This series of glove will hold its shape very well throughout the lifetime of the glove.
Brandon
I am 11 going on 12 and play 2nd base and shortstop for a travel team. Is this the right glove for me? Kwasome
The 11.25" pattern size of the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 would be a great option for your age and positions. This A2000 is one of the most popular models we carry and offers great durability with its Pro Stock American Steerhide. The I-Web design is also perfect for middle infield, as it helps to speed up the transfer of the ball to your throwing hand.
Mac
Does this come in pro stiff or regular? nate
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 will be a standard Wilson A2000 glove.
Noah
I am 11 years old and really small for my age, I'm about 4' 9" and 70 pounds. Is this a good glove for me? Jack.l
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 would be a great glove for yourself based off of your age and size.
Noah
I'm 5'11" 200 lb. 3rd baseman. Is this a good choice? MUSTANGS21
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 is a best for a middle infielder. We recommend a 11.50" to a 11.75" for a 3rd baseman, depending on your age. The Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BB1786ST or the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1796 are two great choices for you.
Kara
I am 10 am going into fifth grade and 4'9" 80 lbs. I play shortstop and second base, would this be a good glove for me or the A1K? Cber
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 would be an appropriate size for your age. The A1K model is tailored to fit the youth hand and would be a great option as well.
Aubrey
I play shortstop and pitcher I am in 8th grade, is this a good glove for me? SS/P16
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 is catered toward middle infielders, with it's shallow pocket and 11.25" pattern. It would also work for a pitcher, though most pitchers prefer a more closed web to help hide pitches, such as the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BBRW23GM.
Katie
Will this glove be good for an 8 year old, that plays 2nd base? Bone Collector
Based on his age and position, we would suggest a 10" glove. The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 is 11.25" and will most likely be too much glove for him right now.
Jason
What size glove for an 11 year old third baseman? What are the differences between the A2000 1788 and the A2K 1788? jus
The 11.25" pattern size of this Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 would be a good choice for an 11 year old third baseman (http://www.justballgloves.com/glove-coach/). The 1788 product code indicates both gloves have 11.25" pattern sizes. The A2K is the highest quality model in the Wilson product line and offers different characteristics than the A2000 Series. The A2K Series is made from the top 5% of all hides they use in gloves, features a Dual-Palm construction for increased durability, and has been shaped three times as much by Wilson's master glove craftsmen for a softer feel and easier break-in. This A2000 will be stiffer out of the package, but it is still a high quality model.

I'm in high school. Is the 11.25 inch glove too small for high school play? IGILL
The 11.25" pattern size of the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 is a pretty common choice for high school to college aged middle infielders. For middle infielders, 11.25" or 11.50" would be the recommended pattern sizes for short stop and second base.
Mac
Does putting it in the microwave make it better or worse to break-in? jac
We do not recommend placing any glove including the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 in the microwave. The heat can damage the leather and reduce the lifespan of the glove.
Kara
Is a 11.25 to small for third base? Aj
Traditionally speaking, an adult third baseman usually prefers an 11.75" model. Some third baseman may go up or down in size depending on their personal preference. The smaller the glove, the easier the ball-to-hand transfer will be, but you will have a smaller pocket for fielding. If you feel comfortable wearing a smaller glove to field the position, then you are more than welcome to do so!
Austin
I need a Wilson A2000 glove for sure. I am a 9 year old third baseman. What is a good model? Miggy
Based on your age and position, we recommend a 11.25" model. The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) is the ideal option for you.
Jason
I am a 6 foot and I play 3rd base. Would the A2000DP15 be good for me? Jack
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) is too small for a third baseman. We recommend a 11.75" such as the Wilson A2000 Series (A2000BB1787).
Kara
The A2000 RW23 is modeled after this glove if I'm not mistaken, but in the A2000 RW23, does the blue, yellow color fade as it gets broken-in,older? It preforms the same as the 1788 but I want to keep the dark color. Does it get lighter or "bleached"? dylan
If any type of glove oil is put on the glove there is a possibility the color can change. This is true for the A2000 RW23 or the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788.
Kara
My son is 9 years old and this glove is listed as an adult glove. Will this glove fit him? Dad
Yes, the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) should fit nicely with its 11.25" size. The wrist opening and finger stalls would be for an adult player. Once received I would just check the openings to make sure he is able to use it comfortably.
Brandon
I am 14, 4' 11" and I am a freshman in high school. I play varsity second base, but I have pretty small hands. Would this be a good glove for me? Should I go with the A1K? Caleb
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) is an excellent glove for a high school middle infielder. The A2000 should fit your hand just fine, but if it does not, we do have a 100 day guarantee on all of our gloves.
Jason
What A2000 glove is good for short stop and 2nd base? rad
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) is an excellent option for middle-infield play. If you wanted to go slightly longer with an 11.5 inch model, the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: (A2000BBSS1786) would also be a nice option. The lightweight design of the SuperSkin A2000's is a nice option to help the player get the lightest feeling glove possible to help them maneuver and track down a ball.
Patrick
I have a Rawlings Revo 350 size 11.50" and I was wondering if this glove is smaller and how much smaller. I used one of my friends Mizuno 11.25" and it seemed like a youth glove. Prospectrd123
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) will be 0.25" smaller than the 11.50" Rawlings Revo 350 series. The hand slot will also be slightly smaller than on the A2000 than the Rawlings Revo.
Kelby
I currently own a Wilson A2000 X2 which is an 11 inch baseball glove. I am starting to play more second base and I was wondering if it is a good idea to switch to a bigger glove like the 1788? Chris
Both the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) and the Wilson A2000 Series (X2STB) gloves would be good options for a middle infielder. The preference on size will vary by player. If you feel like the longer glove will allow you to be able to get more range then that would be a good option!
Patrick
I play outfield as well as middle infield. Would this glove still be good in the outfield? Gator Chomp
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) is a great option for a middle infielder. In general, an outfielder would be better served with a longer model like a 12 inch design such as the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000 ASOB).
Patrick
What is the difference between the 1788 and the 1786? I play shortstop and second base. Which glove is preferred? OhR
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) is an 11.25" pattern and the 1786 is an 11.50" pattern. The 11.25" pattern and 11.50" pattern are both ideal for middle infielders, but the 11.50" design tends to be the standard.
Jason
My son is 6 and he plays with a Rawlings player preferred. It's 11 inches, he's very advanced for his age, when he's not playing in a game he's practicing. He has real good size for his age. No gloves are lasting him he had a Wilson S450 didn't last, know this Rawlings is floppy. Derrick
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) is an adult model and would probably be far too large for a 6 year old player.
Bobby
Should I play two in the pinky or traditional? i forgot
The way you put your hand in the glove is completely up to personal preference. The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) works well for either method.
Bobby
I am 13 and 4 foot 11 with smaller hands. Would this glove fit me? Ac
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) has a slightly snugger fit than some adult model gloves on the market so it may fit well if you have smaller hands.
Patrick
I am 11 and I play shortstop and a little bit of second base. Will this glove be a good choice for me? PROSHORTSTOP27
Yes, the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) is a great option for shortstop play. It has a shallow pocket which allows for quick a exchange.
Sean
Could I get this model in an 11.50" by any chance? Jack10
No, I am sorry. The closest model we have in an 11.50" size would be the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A2000BBSS1786.
Brandon
How does this glove compare to the A2000 DP15? Sam
This Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) is a quarter of an inch smaller in pattern size than the DP15GM. And the DP15GM offers a more snug fit on the player's hand. Both are made from the same quality Pro Stock Leather.
Mac
Out of this glove and the PRO110PT 11.25 which glove is more fit for smaller hands? smallhands
The Rawlings Heart of the Hide Pro Taper Series: PRO110PT Youth is a youth model and will be made for smaller hands.
Damon
Should I get an all leather glove or one with SuperSkin? Also, what kind of web is best for shortstop? allstar_ss
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 would be a great choice for a shortstop. A size around 11.50" would suit an adult shortstop best. Also, the I-Web is very popular for that position.
Brandon
What are the advantages and disadvantages of getting a SuperSkin glove over an all leather? shortstop
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) will not feature Wilson's Superskin material. The advantages of Superskin are that it makes the glove feel lighter. Also, the break-in time and durability will be much better.
Brandon
What is the difference between the Wilson A2000 (A2000BB1788) and the Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB41788)? Also, which one will best fit an 11 year old middle infielder? Ray
The differences between the Wilson A2000 (A2000BB1788) and the Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB41788) are gonna be the fit and the features. The (A1KBB41788) has a smaller wrist opening with narrow finger stalls for a more snug fit. Also, the (A2000BB1788) incorporates Dri-Lex Technology. That helps to keep your hand cool and dry. Both gloves are great, however, based on reviews, the A2000 seems to be more popular.
Chinyere
I'm a freshman in high school, and I play third base. I am 5'9" and about 140 pounds. Which A2000 glove would you recommend? Ballplayer10
For a freshman third basemen, the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) would be an excellent choice. The 11.25" pattern is right in the ideal size range for your age and position.
Tessa
I'm 14, about to turn 15. I play shortstop and I'm currently playing with an 11.50" glove. Sometimes it moves around on my hand. Would you recommend this glove? JF2
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) would be a good option. If you prefer an 11.50" glove, you could go with a glove like the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A20RB15DP15GM). It has a smaller wrist opening as well as smaller hand and finger stalls. It is designed for players with smaller hands.
John H
I am a college 3rd baseman looking for a new glove. Would this be a good option? D1 3rd baseman
The 11.25 inch size of the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) would be a bit small for what most third baseman would prefer but that would ultimately come down to your preference. It could work for that position though.
Patrick
My son is 10 and on the small side. I am interested in the A2000 11.25 but am wondering if the A1K 11.25 would be a better fit for him from what I read regarding a snug fit. Do you think the A2000 would be a good glove for a small 10 year old? Chris
If your son is on the smaller side, we recommend looking at the A1K model instead of the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788). The A2000BB1788 features longer finger stalls and a wider wrist opening, with an adult male hand in mind. The A1K will be better suited for a smaller hand and will feature the same overall design, with the exception of the tighter fit. Ultimately, it will be a matter of preference.
Tessa
I am a 14 year old. I love baseball and I want a good quality glove. I have a Rawlings 12 inch right now. I mostly play third and pitcher. My coach also owns a sports store and he said that the glove might be a bit small for my positions. I am going to keep my Rawlings for the outfield. If I play would you say the 11.25 would be a good glove for me? My main question is, can you have a baseball in the glove pocket and close it? kylebatsneverbunt
While the 11.25 inch size of the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) could work for your positions, we would often recommend something like an 11.5 or 11.75 inch model. The Wilson A2000 Series (A2015CK22GM) or the Wilson A2000 Series (A2000BB1787) are popular styles for players at pitcher or third.
Patrick
Is this a good glove for an infielder? bobjoe
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) is an excellent choice for an infield player.
Frankie
I play 3rd base and want to know if Wilson A2000 make a 10.75? Ron
Unfortunately, we do not offer the Wilson A2000 models in a 10.75 pattern. The only model of Wilson that we sell in a 10.75 pattern is the Wilson Advisory Staff Series: WTA04RB15DP15 Dustin Pedroia Model. The smallest A2000 model comes in an 11.25 pattern.
Nick
Does this glove offer more cushioning in the palm than the DP15? bcthechamp
Since the A2000 models of the DP15 are meant to have thinner padding for the palm, I would have to say that this Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) should come with more palm padding then the DP15 models.
Ben
What's the difference in an A2000 and an A450 glove? Which is better for a SS/3rd baseman? Beau
When comparing this Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) to an A450 glove of the same size, you'll notice that the A2000 glove will have higher quality leather and receive more craftsmanship as well. If you are an older player (high school or above) I would definitely recommend getting an A2000 model over an A450 as it will feature the quality needed to compete as an older player.
Ben
Is there a difference between a slow/fast pitch softball glove vs. a baseball glove? If so, what is it? Would it be OK to use a fast pitch softball glove to play baseball with? Michael
Softball gloves, slow pitch or fast pitch, are going to have larger pockets to accommodate the larger sized softball. Baseball gloves like the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) will have smaller pockets to accommodate a smaller baseball. With that being said, you could use a softball glove in baseball, but it will make quick transfers from glove to your throwing hand much harder because you will be fishing around the larger pocket for the smaller baseball.
Jake
I play 3rd base and play with a 11.5 DP A2K and considering getting a new black A2K but 11.25. Would it be better to play with a 11.25 at 3rd base or 11.5 in high school? Joseph
The appropriate size of glove to use at 3B is really dependent on what the player feels comfortable and confident using. With that said, typically a 3B will use an 11.75 to 11.50 pattern and middle infielders will use a 11.25-11.50 inch pattern, like the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788.
Cameron
I am a 15 year old freshman that is 6'3" and about 150 lbs. Right now I have a Rawlings 12 inch glove. My coach says it's pretty big for third, but I like the size. What do you say would be a good choice size? Xavier
Typically, the a third baseman your age will be using an 11.75" or 12" model at third base. The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 features an 11.25" pattern and it works for third base, but it is typically a better option for middle infielders because of the smaller size.
Jason
I'm looking for a new glove for my 10 year old grandson that is playing LL and travel. He plays some SS, pitches, and will likely play some outfield. I'm looking at a 11.5 inch A2000. Mike
The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 features an 11.25 inch pattern and is preferred by infielders. I would not recommend using this particular model in the outfield.
John P.
I am 13 years old and play on a travel team. I am a utility player and play several positions such as outfield, 2nd base, and sometimes shortstop. I want to get an A2000 in a 11.75" or 12" pattern. I'm not sure which edition of the A2000 would be suitable for multiple positions. Harrison
Typically, for a 13 year old utility player, I would recommend a glove with an 11.50 inch pattern. The Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788 features an 11.25 inch pattern and is preferred by infielders. I have included a link below to all of the 11.50 inch Wilson A2000 models that would be ideal for a 13 year old utility player. http://www.justballgloves.com/products/size~11.50/?s=Wilson+A2000
John P.
I play ss and I have the A2K datdude right now. I am wondering if I should go to a 11.25 or stay at 11.5? JasenkoG3
I would recommend sticking with 11.5" pattern for a shortstop. I think this would be more of an ideal size for a high school or college shortstop. This pattern will be small enough to still have a quick transfer, while being an ideal size for fielding.
Nick
I'm an 11 year old third basemen and have medium sized hands. I was wondering if the EL3 model would be too big? Gabe
For an 11 year old third baseman, I would say that this Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) and the EL3 model would have hand fittings that will be a little large for an 11 year old player as both gloves are designed to fit adult male hands. I might recommend looking to a model from the A1K line featured by Wilson to get a glove more suited to fit your hand.
Ben
I am 12 and I have a hand length of seven inches and hand width of 8 inches. Wondering whether an 11.25 inch glove or an 11.50 inch Dustin Pedroia fit would be better for me. Aidan
Whether to get an 11.25 or 11.50 inch Dustin Pedroia fit glove is one of personal preference. A 11.50 inch pattern would allow for better use across all three infield positions (middle infield and 3B), and if needed, could be a better option in a pinch for the OF spots. The wrist opening and finger stalls should not fit any differently based on the size of the glove.
Cameron
This is an edit of my last question because I think it was misinterpreted: I am 12 and I have a hand length of seven inches and hand span of 8 inches. Wondering whether an 11.25 inch standard fit glove or an 11.50 inch Dustin Pedroia fit would be better for me? Aidan
Based on your hand measurements one would lean towards an adult fitting wrist opening and finger stalls like that in the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove: A2000BB1788.
Cameron
What is the difference between the 1786 and the 1788? con
The difference between this Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) and the 2017 Wilson A2000 11.5" Baseball Glove (A20RB171786) will be the lengths and cosmetics of each glove. This 1788 model has an 11.25" length and will have an all-black look to it. The 2017 A2000 (A20RB171786) will have an 11.50" length and a combination of tan and brown cosmetics.
Ben
My son is 10 years old and plays high-end travel ball. He is a middle infielder and pitches. I am considering an A1K or A2000 1788 (both 11.25), but unsure of which to purchase. He is 4'8" and 95 lbs. What do you recommend? little miggy
If you want the model that will have the fitting that will be most optimal for him at 10 years old, I would recommend the A1K (it has smaller finger stalls and a tighter wrist opening). However, if you want the model that will allow the most room for growth, this Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) will be the model as it is designed to fit an adult male hand.
Ben
Can you use this glove for 3rd at a competitive level? ballin
You can definitely use the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) for third base play at a competitive level. Some third basemen like their gloves a little bit bigger through. Another one to check out might be the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB161787).
Carter

Ben
Is this glove good for pitching? jsis23
This Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788) will feature an I-Webbing (Wilson H-Web) on it which is generally not the best option for pitching as it does not hide the pitcher's throwing hand when it is gripping pitches. Typically, pitchers prefer to use mitts that have a Closed Webbing, Basket Webbing or a Modified T-Webbing.
Ben
