WOW! Wilson has left us speechless once again! Wilson's all new A1K Series takes the prime patterns and construction used from the pros' gloves, and has updated them to offer a tighter fit - just like the big league Dustin Pedroia uses. This is BIG time! The A1K features a smaller wrist opening and narrower finger stalls to provide snug fit designed to boost, and enhance player performance. Wilson has also incorporated a Fastback Construction, which allows for a quicker break-in, which means you get to play on the field quicker. The A1K Series features Pro Stock Patterns, which are same exact patterns used on Wilson's legendary A2K and A2000 models. Wilson also features its Jet Black Top Shelf leather and Gunmetal Embroidery to make a glove that looks as good as it fits. The I-Web also carefully constructed into this eye-catching design, will have you catching like a pro in time. Wilson: Win More! Free Shipping!

Pros: Solid construction. Excellent fit for smaller hands.

Cons: Returned for exchange. During "break in" the glove developed a wrinkle in the lower palm area. First time in many a glove "break in" that I have seen this happen. Replaced it with an A2000 model.

Pros: Well built glove, had it steamed to help break it in a bit, good pocket, fits smaller hands well. Have a smaller son that plays 2nd, pitches, and outfield, works for all 3 positions. Just like a A2000, but not as pricey.

Cons: Stiff when you first get it. Recommend steaming and a good glove oil.

Please explain the difference between the leather quality of the A2000 and the A1K. Does it feel stiff like a pro stock model or flimsy like a Yak series glove? DP
The Wilson A1K Series: A1KBB4DP15 features the patterns and the construction used for the pros' gloves and updates them to offer a more snug fit. The leather will be a Jet Black top shelf leather. There should be no flimsy parts to the glove.

The Wilson A1K Series: A1KBB4DP15 is a quality glove and is very similar to the A2000. The construction provides a smaller fit and is a great choice for a transitional player.
Kara

My son just turned 11 years old and has smaller than average hands. Plays third base and outfield. Currently playing in a 11 inch glove that has become too floppy. Would you recommend the A1KBB4DP15 11.5 inch glove until transition to adult glove? Or is there something else comparable that you would recommend? Does it only come in black? Thanks. NBV
Yes, the Wilson A1K would be a great transitional glove. The A1K will require some break in period but will hold its form for multiple years. The smaller wrist opening will be ideal for your son's smaller hands. The A1KBB4DP15 is only available in the Jet Black color.
John
What is the difference between this glove and the DP15 other than the price? Zman
The Wilson A1K will be designed for a younger player. It will still feature a high quality leather but will have smaller finger stalls and fit tighter around the wrist. The Wilson DP15 is going to be an adult model.
John
