Pros: My 9yo plays travel ball (SS) and used this glove for a full season. Fits his hand perfectly and he says he loves the shallow pocket allowing him to get the ball out quickly. He keeps it in a webgem when he isn't using it and it has a perfect "flare" shape. Break in took a few weeks of catch and working the glove "Aso" style. We anticipate at least one more season with this glove until his hand outgrows it.

Pros: this glove looks great but..,

Cons: I wish i could give less than 1 star. I gave this glove to my son for his 10th birthday and he loved the athstetics but when he used it at his first practice the laces in the web snapped and the ball hit him in the knee. Later after we took it out off his bag at home we took it out and the entire glove had fallen apart! 0/5 stars.

9-year-old Loves it! Dad parent

Pros: Quality glove. was a present for my 9-year-old's birthday. He moved up from a Vinci to to the A1K. Vinci was a great glove, but started to lose its rigidity after a couple seasons. This glove seems much stiffer. My son also loves the color scheme.

Cons: Very stiff glove. We worked on it with a mallet for several days. Finally took it in and had it steamed. As soon as we did that, it was like magic! The glove was game-ready!

Pros: Only had the glove for about 2 weeks, bought it for my 7 year old son who plays travel ball. Glove is taking a bit of time to break in but very happy with the high quality of the leather. The Pedroia Fit makes it a great option for a higher end glove for a youth player. Can't wait to get this glove broken in all the way and see my son play with it. So far he is doing great with catching the ball, seems like the ball just sticks into the leather and won't fall out the glove.

Cons: None so far

Pros: My 12 year old son has had his A1K for 1.5 years and the leather is still in great shape. We play baseball year around and the glove has withstood a lot of baseball. Great entry level pro stock glove I would highly recommend it for the serious ball player.

Cons: product selections.

Pros: Glove is high quality leather and reinforced. Built to last for multiple seasons of travel and select ball. Maintains shape. Love the smaller hand opening and finger stalls.

Cons: Was very difficult to break in for my son who is 8. I worked on it "Aso" style with mallet and water, but eventually took it in to be steamed. Was told they steamed it until they could anymore. It was perfect for me but still took my son a few weeks to be comfortable enough to use in a game.

What size does it come in? Llama
The Wilson A1K Neon Series (A1KRB151788NG) is an 11.25 inch pattern.
Patrick
Does this glove come in any other color and web option combination? Is the leather the same quality as the A2K just softer? I saw it in black already. Jorge Baseball
Yes, the other model we carry in that series is the Wilson A1K Neon Series (A1KRB15DP15OR). The color scheme on this glove will be black and neon orange. The leather on the A2K will still be a better quality material overall. It will perform slightly better and be more durable compared to the material of the A1K line.
Brandon
Why are the A2000s and the A2ks so much better than the A1ks? Snake Stinney
Wilson's A2K Series and their A2000 will be regarded as higher quality than the Wilson A1K Neon Series (A1KRB151788NG) because of the higher quality leather that goes into the A2K and A2000. Higher quality leather allows for better break-ins and longer durability.
Ben
Would you recommend this glove for a 12 year old? Snake Stinney
For the Wilson A1K Neon Series (A1KRB151788NG) our bat coach recommends an 11.50 inch pattern. A 12 year old player could definitely use this glove, however glove choice is largely dependent upon player preference.
Joe
Could I buy this glove in a store or do you have to buy it online? snake stinney

Is this a good mitt for a kid coming into high school? If it is too small what would you prefer? Johnny Baseball
If the player has small hands, the Wilson A1K Neon Series (A1KRB151788NG) may work well but if they have average to larger hands, you would want something with a more adult fit like the Rawlings Gold Glove Gamer Series (GNP2B) or the Wilson A2000 Baseball Glove (A2000BB1788).
Patrick
Is this glove good for 13-year-old who plays second and has smaller hands than most of the kids on his team? Gabe
Yes, the Wilson A1K Neon Series: A1KRB151788NG would be a very good option for him. The A1K has the "Pedrioa Fit" which is designed to fit smaller hands.
Cooper
Can it be customized? Johnny Baseball
Unfortunately, here at JustBallGloves, we do not have the ability to further customize this Wilson A1K Neon Series (A1KRB151788NG).
Ben
Would this glove be good for a high school second baseman? derek
The Wilson A1K Neon Series: A1KRB151788NG would be an excellent glove for a high school second baseman. This particular A1K features a Pedroia (who plays second base) fit, so it has a smaller hand opening and tighter finger stalls.
John P.
Would this be good for a third basemen? Derek
The Wilson A1K Neon Series: A1KRB151788NG has an 11.25" pattern and it can work for a third baseman. It really depends on the players age, but most third basemen prefer a slightly bigger 11.50" or 11.75" size glove for third base.
Jason
Could this be used as a softball glove for a smaller nine year old? j22pika
I would not recommend using the Wilson A1K Neon Series: A1KRB151788NG for softball as it is an infielder's baseball glove and would more than likely be too small for softball.
John P.
What size is this glove? Where can you select the size? Azcj20
The Wilson A1K Neon Series: A1KRB151788NG features an 11.25 inch pattern.
John P.
Would the Wilson A1K Neon Series (A1KRB151788NG) work for my 10 year old son? paul
The Wilson A1K Neon Series (A1KRB151788NG) would be a great glove for a middle infielder at that age.
Damon
I love that it has the same design as the A2K and the A2000. My team color is green so this is a great glove to have, but the other reviews are by 10 year olds and I am 16. Will this glove work for me? Corbin
The Wilson A1K Neon Series: A1KRB151788NG features the Pedroia fit and it is more of snug fit that tends to work better for younger players. There are 16 year old players that use the A1K series, but it is possible that the glove will be too snug on your hand.
Jason
Would this glove be good for a 14 year old second baseman in travel ball? john
This Wilson A1K Neon Series (A1KRB151788NG) will come with an 11.5" length and fitting for a player with a smaller hand (tighter wrist opening and narrower finger stalls). If your player is a little smaller in his hand size, then I would definitely recommend considering this glove for use.
Ben
Can you choose from different color schemes? d-hall
The only color option in which this glove can be purchased is the green option. Besides this Wilson A1K Neon Series (A1KRB151788NG), the other A1K models we sell that have unique colorways are the A1KRB16DP15B and the A1KRB16DP15R.
Ben
What size does this glove come in? tripp
The Wilson A1K Neon Series: A1KRB151788NG features an 11.25 inch pattern.
John P.
My 11 yr old son plays travel ball, currently using 11.5" A800 (he pitches and also plays middle infield and outfield). (1) Is this an upgrade from the A800. (2) Also, is the 11.25" too small for outfield play? jd
(1) This Wilson A1K Neon Series (A1KRB151788NG) will be an upgrade from the A800 in regard to leather quality. (2) At 11 years old, I think that the 11.25" length will be functional for use in the outfield (maybe a little small, but definitely usable).
