Description

Shoeless Joe Gloves - "when it was just a game". Shoeless Joe Gloves give a player the quality, feel and style of the gloves worn by professional ball players over the last 100 years. You can choose glove models worn in the first half of century in the Golden Age Series or today`s models in the Professional Model Series. The Shoeless Joe gloves are individually hand-cut and sewn from Special Aged Antique Tobacco Leather Hides. Shoeless Joe gloves are then hand-rubbed with old time ingredients to soften the leather before they go through their breaking in process that leaves the glove with a beaten up and `Game Worn` look and feel, of a broken in glove. Thus each glove is unstructured giving it its own unique feature. Players can choose to play with an old time or modern day web without having to change to another model. Could you tell me the height of the 1910, measured with a straightedge such as a ruler, from top of middle finger to bottom center of heel? John H.

Nick
How big is the glove? From the thumb to pinkie? jmart741
We only measure the gloves from palm to index finger. We offer a 100 day warranty on all gloves and we offer free shipping to the customer and if you need too send it back to us if it doesn't fit.
Chad M.
What exactly is the size of this glove? black sock
The size of the Shoeless Joe Golden Age Series (1910) is around an 11". There is not a true size stamped on the glove. The finger stalls and wrist opening are quite large. They are way bigger than an average glove being used today. If you would like to ask Shoeless Joe about the sizing, their number is 855-503-4568.
Brandon
Is this glove suitable for an 11 year old to play catch with? black sock
While technically you could use the Shoeless Joe Golden Age Series (1910) to play catch, it is not recommended that it be used for play but rather as a decoration or conversation piece. It does not feature any of the technological advancements that modern gloves have so their would be no advantages to using it over another model.
Patrick
Is it the best vintage glove put out there? tiger swag #6
The Shoeless Joe Golden Age Series: 1910 is going to be one of the better options, if not the best option, currently on the market for customers seeking a vintage baseball glove. Customers who have purchased this glove have rated it highly so it is certainly one we would recommend.
Cameron
I ordered the 1925 model also and it seems like a better glove then the 1910. Why is the 1910 so hard to squeeze? If it was easier it would get better ratings and reviews. tiger swag #6
The Shoeless Joe Golden Age Series: 1910 may seem harder to squeeze when compared to the Shoeless Joe Golden Age Series: 1925 because of the fact that the Shoeless Joe Golden Age Series: 1925 model features more of a web (like modern day gloves) than the Shoeless Joe Golden Age Series: 1910.
Cameron
I also ordered the 1925 glove and it seems like it was a better glove. Why is the 1910 glove so harder to squeeze than the 1925? tigers swag #6
These gloves are more for nostalgia and not necessarily for catching, thus making it harder to squeeze. The Shoeless Joe gloves are meant for the more rustic look glove and the stiffness/break in can vary from glove to glove.
Nick
Could I use the mitt for tossing the ball around? joseph
Yes, this Shoeless Joe Golden Age Series (1910) could be used for a recreational game of catch.
Ben
Why don"t you offer this glove in a left hand throw model? There are left handed customers who would like to own one of these gloves. Toddy bear
This glove is generally only used as a display type piece and not rarely used for actual game use, so I can only assume our marketing team only purchased right hand thrower models because they were not expecting to sell left hand thrower models very often. If you would like a left hand version, I would try contacting Shoeless Joe directly.
Kyle J.
How would you recommend catching with this glove? One handed or two handed? Traynor Janosko
It is always recommended to use two hands when catching!
