Was considering this glove for my 6 1/2 year old. He is 48 inches tall, larger hand than kids his age. Advanced by far compared to rest of his teammates. Played t ball this year...playing farm/coach pitch next year. Can already catch ball consistently - about 7 out of 10 throws from me at about 10 feet. Is this glove too big or just right? How many years would you guess he would get out of this glove. (Don't worry I won't hold you too it if he grows too quickly :-D) VGT

My soon to be 6 year old son is in his first season of T-ball and he plans to play all 3 seasons this year. He has a smaller hand and needs a glove that will open and close easily. Does the vintage design allow for this? I would like to buy a good glove that could last him a couple years into coach pitch. Is a 10" right for him? Brandon

A 9 year old player could use either size but a 10 inch model like the Roy Hobbs Game Ready Series (RHGR1000) will have a smaller pocket and thus a smaller catching area that a younger player may benefit from having more room for error.
