Nokona Walnut Series: N80W First Base Mitt
Average Customer Review
My parents gave me this glove for Christmas. My Dad put 2 applications of Nokona condition cream on it 2 weeks before Christmas. It took only 2 weeks to completely break it in. This glove is amazing! I'm 15, and it's the best glove I've ever owned. Joey Chandler, Ft Worth, TX
Got this to replace my trusty Cooper. It's a well-made, heavily-built, and good looking mitt. Substantial wrist strap keeps the glove in place. Superior in every way to the Nokona Buckaroo (which I returned for this model). Thanks to JustBallGloves for make the swap easy.
Very minor. I'd prefer a little padding on the wrist strap and inner-back of the glove. Break-in goes well if you are willing to sit on it all day at work for a week or so — which, sadly, I am.

My daughter just moved up to 14U travel fastpitch. She's 5'1" and has used a 13" Easton Synergy for the past two years. She loves her Nokona outfielders glove, but I'm seeing mixed reviews. Will this mitt be too big for her to handle?
Our general recommendation for a 12-14 year old fastpitch softball first baseman is 12.25" or 12.5". The Nokona Walnut Series: N80W First Base Mitt has a 13" pattern so there is a chance this mitt will be slightly too big making it harder to close. However, if she has been using a 13" mitt and has not experienced any issues, she would be able to handle the size of the Nokona Walnut Series: N80W First Base Mitt.
what is the average break in time? my daughter plays National fastpitch softball 14u. practices 3 times a week tourn. anywhere from 2-4 a month.
The average break-in time is tough to tell on the Nokona Walnut Series (N80W First Base Mitt). Really depends on how much time is spent each day breaking it in. Based on your weekly practice I would think you could have this glove formed to your liking within a couple weeks.
Does this mitt come is a left hand thrower? I have checked everywhere and I cant seem to find it, where would be a good place to look if it is not here?
The Nokona Walnut Series (N80W First Base Mitt) is manufactured in a left hand thrower. We do not currently have the left-hand thrower model in stock. I would recommend a broad google search for the left hand thrower model in a 13" model.
