Description

Mizuno has once again made it their priority to develop the games most exclusive line of ball gloves. One of those series is the Prospect Series. Mizunos patented PowerClose technology is unmatched in the industry. Others may try to duplicate, but no technology closes as easily. Multiple technologies like PowerClose, PowerLock, V-Flex, Side Bar, and SureFit Foam, afford the youth player the best options to make catching easy. The V-Flex helps initiate easy closure while the PowerClose makes it easier for younger players to close the glove and catch the ball. The Parashock palm pad with buttersoft and SureFit Foam lining in select Prospect Series models reduce shock to minimize "sting" while delivering superior feel and comfort. Above all, the PowerClose design MAKES CATCHING EASY! Mizuno: Your passion is our obsession. Free Shipping.

Pros: this glove has been awesome for the money. Two long seasons of rec ball and all stars & still going strong. Easy break in. Bought my son a new glove for double the money. He prefers this one. Perfect glove for a hard playing 6,7,8 year old.

Cons: Nothing to complain about for $35, it's easily worth twice that

Pros: Great glove has been used for 4 seasons fall, spring, travel, and fall again, and it still has life left.. Break in is almost non eistent, it's 99% ready to go, and my son loves his Mizuno...I tried to buy him a more expensive Nike glove at the beginning of last yr and he refused to wear it he said this one felt much better. He plays 1st base and this glove has caught thousands of balls.... The only reason I am getting him a new glove is because he has out grown this one, and we will be buying a new Mizuno...

Cons: For the price NOTHING!!!

Nice first glove

Pros: Great first glove. My son used this from ages 6 to 8. It is pretty beat up now and I am on this site to buy him a new glove. It is game ready right away and requires almost no break in period. Has served my son really well and it is time to move on.

Cons: durability, won't really stand up over time as some of the straps and materials are low quality(ie thumb tie, wrist tightener etc)

What material is this glove made of? John K
This glove is made from "Full Grain Leather."
Brett
My son is 7 & 3 months and has played with a 10 inch glove for 2 season since he is 6.....should I bump him to a 10.75?? or 10.5? Jeff
For 7 and 8 year olds, a 10.5 inch glove is generally recommended. A 10.75 inch glove would be a little bigger, but would also work well for him.
Mark
My son is turning 7 currently uses a Mizuno Prospect 10.75. I bought him a Mizuno 11.5 but doesn't like, too long fingers. Would a Mizuno 11 fit or should I stay with a 10.75 Chris
I would probably stay with the 10.75 for now. You could take him to a sporting goods store and try on an 11.00 inch. This will give you an idea if it would fit or not.

My son is turning 12 in a few months and plays pitcher and short stop.Whats the best size glove for him. 10.5 or is 11 to big for him???? Jose
For his age in the youth model, I would go with a 11 inch.

I am an adult female looking for the right sized, left handed glove. I have tiny hands and all the adult sizes are huge on me. I've tried on a youth glove and it seems too small. What do I do about sizing? Hannah
I would not recommend the Mizuno Prospect Series (GPP1076) if you are saying the youth gloves are too small. I would recommend either going with a Youth Transition model or a Female Fastpitch Glove. These will be larger than the designated "Youth" gloves, but smaller than the "Adult" gloves. Keep in mind our 100 day guarantee allows you to try the gloves out and send them back if they are not working out for you.
