Description

Mizuno has once again made it their priority to develop the games most exclusive line of ball gloves. One of those series is the Prospect Series. Mizunos patented PowerClose technology is unmatched in the industry. Others may try to duplicate, but no technology closes as easily. Multiple technologies like PowerClose, PowerLock, V-Flex, Side Bar, and SureFit Foam, afford the youth player the best options to make catching easy. The V-Flex helps initiate easy closure while the PowerClose makes it easier for younger players to close the glove and catch the ball. The Parashock palm pad with buttersoft and SureFit Foam lining in select Prospect Series models reduce shock to minimize "sting" while delivering superior feel and comfort. Above all, the PowerClose design MAKES CATCHING EASY! Mizuno: Your passion is our obsession. Free Shipping.

Pros: great glove for kid just starting out in baseball. he can close mitt easily. pocket is already nicely formed.

Cons: only problem seems to be leather is so soft, and padding so thin, that solidly thrown balls will sting - and we're still using the soft baseballs!

Pros: Great glove! It seems to be broke in already. It's soft and flexible so my sons little hand can close it easier. We had looked at quite a few and I'm glad we chose this one.

Cons: None

Pros: Finally retired this one,but it was a good T-ball glove for 2 years. This needs to be your kids first glove, the Power Close really is the best option for a 4 or 5 year old. Most gloves in this category break before they break in, this one is durable and because of Power Close breaks in really fast, and builds confidence.

Cons: None.

My son is starting his first year of coach pitch at age 7. He played two years of teeball and has strugled with opening and closing gloves. Is this glove the right size and will he be able to open and close it easily? Coach T
Coach T, this glove should be a good size for your player. It is small enough for a younger player and also broken in enough that he should be able to close it effectively.
Shelbe
This is my son's first season of tee ball. He is 5 years old but smaller than the average boy out there. Would this glove be too large for him? I am looking for something he could grow into and be comfortable with over the next couple of years, but not hinder the learning process. NewtoTee
Based on his age we recommend at 9.00" like the Mizuno Prospect Series: GPP901 Youth.
Kara
The sales rep at the store said that breaking in and oiling this glove is not required, is this true or should I break it in normally? Brian
The Mizuno Classic Fastpitch Series: GCF1253 will not require any break in or oiling.
Noah
Is this glove for all positions? Or just for outfielders or infielders? Judy
The Mizuno Prospect Series (GPP1002) can serve as a utility glove for most positions but a longer glove may be more beneficial for outfield play in general.
