Pros: Look and feel are pro stock. Bought this for my 11 year old son. I wasn't thinking Mizuno at first , had sights set on Rawlings GG for him. However once I put this on my hand you could tell the material is superior..

Cons: None

Pros: As a first time glove buyer I have nothing to compare this to, however based off my idea on the pain breaking a glove in and compared to the glove I've played with before. This glove is nice. I've owned it for about a week and it feels pretty broke in already haven't had a chance to play yet because it's a Montana winter (been -20 for about a week) but I can tell with how flexible its gotten that catch will be a breeze.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Thomas B

Pros: I have had this glove for 1 year and it's better than I thought. The material is very solid. Great for pitcher, short, third, and second. Recommended

Cons: If you don't wear an underglove the glove might slip off your hand a little because the leather smoothes out. A little hard to break in fully but you will still get the break in about half way, I recomend microwaving it with rubber ands to give it a easy to move feel and floppy if you like that

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Mizuno MVP Prime Series: GMVP1154P? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

does the glove have a adjustable wrist strap jt
This glove has a solid backing, and isn't adjustable.
Derek
I recently purchased this glove for my 11yr travel player/son. To respond to the adjustable question below - the wrist strap can be adjusted however requires a leather tool (which can be purchased for less than $10 at Dick's Sports). By undoing the leather laces and re-threading it allows the wrist to be adjusted to fit a smaller hand. John
Thanks for the information. We appreciate all the help. Thanks again.

Which is a better glove this or a Rawlings Gold Glove Elite series? Mvp
Both models are very good options, I personally like the Mizuno MVP because it is more of a lightweight glove
Sean
is it a infeilders glove baseball boy
Yes. It is an infielders glove.
Kara
I know this is not a softball glove , but i play both baseball and softball i got a rawlings revo with deep pocket 130 and works great for both, does this glove has a deep pocket to play both? thanks. Diego
The GMVP1154P would be on the smaller side for the uses you are describing. I might suggest the GMVP1201P, the same series in a 12 inch model.
Shelbe
Which is better for infield positions, this style or the GMVP1156P Infielder Glove I-Bar type. SG
Both the MNVP1154P and the 1156P would be ideal for infielder positions. They are both great gloves, you can't go wrong with either one.
Shelbe
Is this glove sized for an adult hand or a youth/child hand? Bill
This is not a youth glove and will easily fit an adult's hand. All youth gloves will have "Youth" in the product's name.
Tyler
What is the difference between the MVP and MVP Prime series. Which will last longer? Tripper
Both are made from high quality materials and will be great performing gloves. The Prime Series may be a little more durable as it uses thicker stitching. Both are pretty broken it to start with, but the Prime may be just little stiffer out of the box
Tyler
Is this an outfielders glove? I have a left handed son, already have a first base glove but need an outfield glove. I am looking for a glove easy to break in. Mom
The Mizuno MVP Prime Series: GMVP1154P is an 11.50 inch infield model glove. I would recommend going up to a 12.00 inch glove for the outfield.
Nick
Is this glove suitable for the infield? say 3rd base? and I'm 13 so would this be the right glove for me? Stone
Yes, since this glove is 11.50inch it would be ideal for infielders. However this is an adult glove, which means it will have bigger finger stalls and hand slot than the youth models.
Ryan
Is this a better glove than the GG209L model? manny
The Mizuno MVP Prime Series and the Rawlings Gold Glove Legend Series are both high quality gloves that would work well. The Mizuno uses a little higher grade leather in the MVP Prime for added durability.
Nick
Would this glove work well for a 15 yr old second baseman as well as a center fielder? Coach Z
The Mizuno MVP Prime Series: GMVP1154P baseball glove is an infield model baseball glove. It is perfect for the infield, however; you could use it in the outfield as well. If second base is your primary position then this glove would be a great choice.
Jeff
Is this glove good for pitching? fernando
Yes, the MIzuno MVP Prime Series is a great choice for a pitcher.
Chad M.
Can you play baseball with this glove? Or is it just for playing catch? Boss
Both, the Mizuno MVP Prime Series (GMVP1154P) is an 11.50" infield model. It would be great for playing catch or dominating on the diamond.
