Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Mizuno Franchise Fastpitch Series: GFN1200F1? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

I play varsity softball at third base and first base. I am 5'5''. Is this the right glove for me? Sarah
The Mizuno Franchise Series: GFN1200F1 Fastpitch may be a little small in size for the positions you are playing. I would recommend a 12.50'' glove. For more information on sizing please visit our Glove Coach at http://www.justballgloves.com/glove-coach/.
Tori
I play 2nd base on a varsity team. I am 5'0". Is this glove right for me? Kay
According to our Glove Coach feature, we recommend a 11.75" glove for the position you are playing. The Mizuno Franchise Series: GFN1200F1 Fastpitch is a 12" size, which is larger than the recommended size. However, depending on your hand size or preference, you could go up to the 12" size.
Tessa L.
I'm 5'6" and I pitch for my high school team. Is this the right glove for me? Lhsgirl
The Mizuno Franchise Series (GFN1200F1) Fastpitch features a 12" pattern, which is ideal for a high school pitcher.
Jason
My 11 year old daughter plays 3rd base on a travel ball team. Would this glove work for her? If not, what would you suggest? Henternet
The Mizuno Franchise Fastpitch Series (GFN1200F1) features a 12" pattern, which is slightly larger than the 11.50" size recommended to her based on her age and position. Sizing is preferential though, so if she would feel more comfortable going with the larger glove, that is definitely something to take into consideration. If you are interested in 11.50" models, I would recommend checking out the Mizuno MVP Prime Fastpitch Series (GMVP1159P) or even the Mizuno MVP Prime Fastpitch Series (GMVP1150PF1).
Tessa
My daughter is 12 and is 5'4". She pitches, plays first and outfield. Is this 12" glove good or should she go 12.5"? Matt
Our glove coach actually recommends an 11.75 inch pattern for a player of her size. However, she could use the 12" model as well of the Mizuno Franchise Fastpitch Series (GFN1200F1)
Joe
My daughter pitches and plays 1st base. She is 5'7" and 16 years old. Would you recommend this Mizuno? Pitch Pop
Given her age and the positions she plays, the Mizuno Franchise Fastpitch Series (GFN1200F1) would be a great glove for her at 12.00".
Marcus
I am 16 years old, I am an outfielder and I am 5'2. My current glove is a youth 12 but it's way past time for a new one would this glove be good for me? maddie
For your position and age we recommend a 12.5" glove. The Mizuno Franchise Fastpitch Series: GFN1200F1 is still a good option if you are comfortable using a smaller glove. It has a utility pattern so you will be able to effectively use this in the outfield, as well as, infield positions.
Angelique
I am 14, I pitch, and I play 2nd base. Is this glove right for me? savannah
Typically, for a 14 year old who pitches and plays 2nd base, I would recommend a 12.00 inch pattern. The Mizuno Franchise Fastpitch Series: GFN1200F1 does feature a 12.00 inch pattern and is a utility model so it would be perfect for you.
John P.
I am going on 14 and play second. I am under 5 foot and small in stature. Is this the glove I need? My coach said I need a 2nd base glove; I have a multi purpose glove, 13 inches, and catch everything. Lost and confused, does a glove really matter? If it will help, what kind? kv
There are many great gloves to consider for a 2B. Typically, the best size to use for 2B would be between an 11.75 inch to 12.00 inch pattern. This size glove will make it easier to transition to your throwing hand on double-play turns, if possible to turn, as well as making the exchange on regular ground balls. The Mizuno Franchise Fastpitch Series: GFN1200F1 will feature a 12.00 inch pattern so this would be a good glove to consider based on your present needs. The PowerLock Adjustable Wrist Strap should allow for this glove to fit on your wrist and, if not, you do have a 100 day guarantee.
Cameron
I am 15 and I play 3B for my varsity team. Would this be the right glove for me? If not, what would you recommend? girlatthird
This Mizuno Franchise Fastpitch Series (GFN1200F1) would be an option that I would consider for use at 3B on a fastpitch softball field. It will have that 12.00" length that is pretty popular among fastpitch infielders. The leather quality is not as high as some other options that highschool fastpitch players will be using, but if you want a bargain mitt that should still function well, this is a good option for consideration.
Ben
I a 17 years old 5'6 and play first and third base. Would this glove be appropriate? meg
The Mizuno Franchise Fastpitch Series (GFN1200F1) would be a good option for a third baseman. It is not a first base mitt through, so I would recommend actually getting a first base mitt if you play a lot of first base.
