Pros: This Mizuno glove has a game-ready feel right out of the box. Pop-flys were no challenge for this glove on its first day

Cons: It came "squished" and had the webbing pushed in, but I simply pushed out

Questions and Answers

How well will this glove work for men's slowpitch softball? We use a 12inch ball. Midget 1908
The 12.75 inch pattern and deep pocket of the Mizuno Classic Pro Soft Series (GCP81S) make it a good option for use in slow pitch softball.

My son is 11 years old and I was wondering if this glove would work with him playing center field, shortstop and pitcher? I am also wondering if the web is different from the $166.99 dollar glove? mom
The 12.75 inch size of the Mizuno Classic Pro Soft Series (GCP81S) would be a bit long for what we would expect the player to use at shortstop or pitcher. It would work well for outfield but would be a bit long for the other positions. The pocket on the Mizuno Classic Pro Soft Future Series (GCP61F Youth) is slightly more closed than on this one because of its smaller overall size.
Patrick
Whats the difference between the GCP81S and the GCP79S? Baker
There isn't a major difference between the 2 models. The Mizuno Classic Pro Soft Series (GCP81S) is basically the newer model of the (GCP79S).

I'm 14 6'0 in the eight grade and weigh 145 pounds. Which size glove should I get of Mizuno? chandler baker
We would recommend getting an 11.75 inch or 12.00 inch pattern from Mizuno. This pattern could change depending on whether you play the infield or outfield. The Mizuno Classic Pro Soft Series: GCP81S would be best for an OF.
Cameron
Should I get a 12.75 inch glove? I'm in eight grade 6'0 and 14. chandler baker
The Mizuno Classic Pro Soft Series: GCP81S is a 12.75 inch glove pattern that is going to be an option for an OF. The best glove option for you is going to be one that you feel comfortable with. With that said, a 12.50 inch pattern might be a better fit for you potentially if you play OF.
Cameron
Do you have this glove for lefties in stock? Is this the 12.75 inch model and is this the overall best outfielders mitt in the 100-200 range? David Basesball
Yes, we currently have left hand thrower options of this Mizuno Classic Pro Soft Series (GCP81S) in stock at JustBallGloves. This glove is a 12.75" model. If you are looking for a glove that is easier to break in, but does not suffer in leather quality within the $100-$200 range, I would recommend this glove.

My son is 12 years old about 5'6", 140 lbs. and plays center field and pitches. Would this be a good glove and is 12.75" the right size? Tracy J
For his age I would suggest a 12" to 12.50". Unless he has fairly large hands the Mizuno Classic Pro Soft Series (GCP81S) at 12.75" might be a bit too much glove for him.
