Pros: For those of you looking for that hard to find, in between sized mitt for your 9-12 year old, this is the one. I have always had good luck with Louisville Slugger gloves and this one does not dissappoint. The quality thick leather, plenty of padding, ajustable wrist strap, and flexing in the right places makes this mitt a GREAT choice. This was my first purchase from Ball Glove Warehouse and I could not be any more pleased. After canceling an order with a competitor who said it would take 6 WEEKS, I placed the order at 8:30 P.M. on a Monday night, got free shipping, and the glove was at my home by 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, the next day. WOW! Great product, great service. I highly recommend.
Cons: Not really a con, but the glove needs a little breaking in, however, I find high quality gloves do.

Pros: good size and nice colors
Cons: hared to braek in
Coach Josh
Pros: Excellent 1st base mitt for younger players. Padding is great and quality of leather is well above price range like other models in the Omaha Select series.
Cons: Only negative would be a little stiff out of the box and slow to break in. Some routine catches were popping out in practice but not since fully broken in. Just maybe hold off on game use until fully broken in.

Pros: Just recieved this glove today for my son. I must say, I am impressed. The quality, fit and finish of the glove is just what I have come to expect from Louisville Slugger. It appears that it shouldn't take too long to break it in, which we're going to start this afternoon! Thanks justballgloves!

Pros: Son is a 12 year old lefty and plays a lot of first base. He is fairly tall and average/large hands. Loves the glove. Easily broken in, good basket for scooping throws, nice padding, and looks good. Size is very good. Has been using it for fall ball and winter practice. Would recommend.
Cons: None.

Thanks Louisville Slugger and JustBallGloves.com Oh yea i would also like to mention how quick the glove got to our house aswell.

Pros: This glove has worked very well for my 10 yo son. He is 4'10" and weighs 100 lbs. He plays an age level above his own. He liked this glove immediately so next to no break-in time. He likes the color since it's different from other gloves. His coaches have called him "Magnet Hand" since not many balls get by him while using this glove. His confidence has increased. This glove has been very durable and seems like it will last awhile. Recommend highly and would purchase again.
Cons: None so far

I like the look of this glove. My son is 12 year old lefty, so he will spend significant time at 1st base, but I want a glove that I don't have to replace every year due to him growing out of it. About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
