Pros: I bought this glove for my son who is a freshman in high school. He wanted a bigger glove to play with in the outfield. It's HUGE. The wrist strap allows the player to tighten the fit of the glove. He used the glove in a game less than two weeks after he received in the mail so I would say it is a quick break in time. He loves it.

Cons: None yet.

Pros: This is the best glove I have ever had. I tried on an A2000 and a Heart of the Hide, both good gloves, but neither of them fit my hand it seemed like. Then I put this glove on and it was amazing. It's so soft on the inside and has a great deep pocket for outfield. Its durable and will hold up through my high school years. If i had to get a new glove again I would choose this one again and again.

Cons: none at all

does this glove fit smaller like most louisville slugger gloves? jake
This will fit just a little more snug than average when compared to similar gloves from other manufacturers.

I am a tall 15 year old high school baseball player would this golve fit me. I have big hands Matt
This glove should work for you. Most 12.75 inch gloves will be used for the outfield. Most infielders use 11.00-11.50 inch gloves. This is going to be a little bigger than most that are used in high school, but it should work for someone that has bigger hands.

I PLAY SLOWPITCH SOFTBALL AND LIKE THE FEEL OF THIS GLOVE,WOULD I HAVE TROUBLE CACTHING A SOFTBALL WITH THIS GLOVE I PLAY OUTFIELD? louis
This is a baseball glove and is not designed for softball. I would suggest the Easton Natural Elite Softball Series: NES13,or the Mizuno Franchise Softball Series: GFN1303.
Kara
I am a 6'2" 185 pounds college pitcher and I really like this glove. I want to know if this glove its not going to be too big for me because the only sizes this glove comes in is 12.75". baseball player
The 12.75" size is most likely going to be too big for a pitcher
John
I play left field for my team and my glove gets alot of action. Would this be a good glove for me? I'm 6'1 and 15. Noah
Yes. The OPRO1275 would be a great glove for a 15 year old outfielder.
Tyler
We currently have Model OFL1200 / Pitcher/Infield/Outfield for my 12 year old. He's turning 13 not a big kid 5' Great glove but seems a little small for outfield. Do you think this would be too big? gdad
We recommend a 12.25" for a utility glove. A 12.75" is best suited for a high school player.
Kara
I'm looking at this glove for my 16 year old outfielder. I'm also looking at the Rawlings Gold Glove Gamer Series: GG601G. Which one is a better glove? I've had good experience with the Rawlings Gold Glove series in the past. Nelson
Both are excellent gloves. The Louisville Slugger Omaha Pro Series will have a little stiffer leather. The Rawlings will have softer leather, and will be easier to break-in.
Kara
If the OPRO1300 is classified as a softball glove, wouldn't the OPRO1275 have the same pocket since they're in the same line? I need a utility glove and love my Omaha Pro baseball glove; I don't care for the H-web of the 1300 and want something a smidge smaller than 13". Jason Bice
Yes. The Lousiville Slugger Omaha Pro Series OPRO1275 will have the same pocket just a different web than the OPRO1300.
Damon
How does this glove compare to the Rawlings Gold Glove Gamer Series: GG601G? The Gamer had almost no padding in the palm and I'm looking for something with more padding than that. Would this glove fit the bill or do you have something else that would? Joe
Both the Louisville Slugger Omaha Pro Series and Rawlings Gold Glove Gamer Series feature similar quality leather, durability and break-in time. The Louisville Slugger Omaha Pro Series is known to have just slightly better palm padding.
Tyler
I was wondering how long it will take to break in? louie
It all depends on how much you work with it, but the Louisville Slugger Omaha Pro Series: OPRO1275 has a rather quick break-in time of about one week or less.
Tyler
Which is better Louisville Slugger Omaha Pro Series: OPRO1275 or Mizuno MVP Prime SE GMVP1277PSE? Alaric
The Louisville Slugger Omaha Pro Series: OPRO1275 is a discontinued product and we are limited to only a few quantities remaining. It is a very good quality glove. The Mizuno MVP Prime SE GMVP1277PSE is also a great glove and will break-in much easier. Both would be good selections for the outfield player.
Brandon
I play senior slow pitch softball. I've played at all three infield positions except 1st base. I've read some reviews that this baseball glove tends to be somewhat small which makes me think that it would be good for use in the infield for softball. I like the trap design. What do you think? Thanks. Ski
The pocket of the Louisville Slugger Omaha Pro Series: OPRO1275 is not designed for a slow pitch softball. However, there are many players that choose to use an oufield baseball glove for infield slow pitch softball.
Kara
when will you have a right hand throw model in stock for 12.75 luc
Unfortunately we no longer carry the Louisville Slugger Omaha Pro Series (OPRO1275). I would definitely check out the Louisville Slugger Omaha Flare Series (FGOF14-BK127).
Jackson
Is this glove 100% leather, or does the area around the heel and wrist have plastic/synthetic piping? Britt
The Louisville Slugger Omaha Pro Series (OPRO1275) will be a fully leather design.

About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.

After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.

The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.

The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.

Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
