Omar
Pros: Great mitt for youth catcher, will adjust for different size of kid's hands. Highly recommend this mitt for first time catcher's because of the great price.....
Cons: Little stiff out of the box, but once you put some glove oil on it breaks in really easy!
Omar
Pros: Great Mit for little leager's.
Cons: Little stiff, but nothing some glove oil won't help!!!
Perfect for the Young Catcher
Pros: Very good mitt for a beginning catcher. My son is not quite 8, but is beginning to learn to catch on his travel team. This mitt is perfect for him. The buffalo hide is soft enough that he was able to use the mitt the first day we received it, and has continued to break in nicely. It seems tough enough, though, that I'm certain it will hold up until long after he's outgrown it. It has plenty of padding to give him the confidence to hang in there, and the slightly deeper pocket enables him to keep the ball from bouncing out of his mitt, which frequently happens when kids begin using catcher's mitts. The mesh back lightens the glove up just enough so that he can manipulate it confidently, but the glove still has enough mass to make it feel solid when the ball hits it. Overall, very well designed and thought out beginners catchers mitt and at the price, an extremely good value! Can't imagine a better choice for a beginner's catchers mitt.

Papa Jim
Pros: Well-stitched and adjustable to a hand size that fitted well to a 7 year-old grandson. Not sure how well it will stand up for the long haul but for a beginner's mitt it is a great one to start with.
Cons: Stiff, but really no more than normal.
Larry
Pros: Good fit, well made, completely satisfied.

Pros: I bought this glove for my son who is a left handed thrower and plays in the coach pitch division. He wanted to try catching and since receiving the glove has caught every game and he is gaining confidence. The glove provides great protection and he is actually catching the ball now in the glove from the machine. This is a great buy especially for the price and will last a few seasons. I recommend this product to anyone starting off catching.
Cons:
Brent
Pros: Great kid size mitt. Sprayed on some gloveoleum and wrapped in some bungies and it softened up real nice.
Cons: Non so far.

Pros: this glove is awesome with a great pocket . I would loosen the web if I were you because easier to catch. This glove is lightweight too so it is easy to move quickly.
Cons: none
jagiordano7
Pros: The glove is lightweight enough for my 7-10 year old boys and it is still of adequate width. It was broken in within 3 days and are kids say it is light and comfortable. I would not use it for older than 12 or 13 year olds.
Cons: It does not have as much padding as an adult glove but it does not really need it. The interior of the mitt is Buffalo hide and the exterior is mostly a synthetic material, but this aids in the conservation of the glove weight. The Velcro strap is an unnecessary add on but not really a problem.
Hi

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
