Pros: this glove is the BEST bang for your buck. my girl plays 10u, this glove is awesome!!!! great padding.!! i've bought 3 Mizuno's trying to get a better glove. and 2 rawlings!!! mizuno doesnt make a good 33in.

Cons: 40% player break in!!!!!

I am trying to find the correct catchers mitt for my 13 year old granddaughter . What do you recommend for a fastpitch catchers mitt? Will a 33" model work? john

In regards to size, 33" is a very common size and should work just fine. The Easton Synergy Elite (SYEFP2000) is an excellent glove for the price, and should serve her well. An excellent high end catcher's mitt would be the 2016 Nokona X2 Buckaroo Series (X2-V3250). A more mid-range model would be either the 2017 Rawlings Heart of the Hide (PROCM33SBB) or the Rawlings Libery Advanced (RLACM33).

What's the break in time on this mitt? Chub

The Easton Synergy Elite 33" Fastpitch Catcher's Mitt: SYEFP2000 should take a player a couple weeks to break in if attention is given each day to the task. As always, the preference is completely up to the player and thus could take less or more time than the estimated 2 weeks.

What are the main differences between the Easton Synergy Elite and the Easton Synergy fastpitch catchers mitts? Both are 33" and similar in price. I'm looking for things like type of leather and how stiff they are or weight or depth of pocket, etc. Jeff

The Synergy Elite comes with the oiled hog hide palm lining and Easton's Deer Tanned 365 Cowhide compared to the Synergy's JPro Cowhide leather. This slight leather upgrade is the main difference in price. Performance will be somewhat similar, just the slightly higher quality leather in the Elite model means it will be slightly stiffer, while the Synergy will be a bit more game ready.
