These gloves start out as high quality USA steer hide and are Japanese tanned into professional grade Seto leather. The result is a soft, smooth, and incredibly durable ball glove. The inside of these gloves is made from Pro Fit steer hide which is built soft for comfort, yet strong for the rigors of professional level play. These gloves are held together by professional grade USA-tanned rawhide lace that is tested to a tensile strength of 100 lbs! That means that the chance of the laces on these gloves breaking is slim to none. This is a glove that will last for many seasons to come. This 33.50 Inch catcher's mitt features a two-piece closed web and an extended palm for extra protection. Pros: solid glove. compares well to heart of the hide and a2000.

Cons: as with all fine leather gloves...break in requires some work.

I would say the Wilson Pudge has a bit more padding than this Easton, but not by much. This Easton will be one of the most durable catcher's mitts out right now.

Is thi just as good as the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: 1788BSS? how does it compare? stud

The A2000 Superskin is made with a leather that is a little higher in quality and more durable. The difference isn't that vast though, but I would give the A2000 a slight advantage.
