I am a 13 year old travel ball catcher. Where does this mitt rate compared to some of the other mitts, and what tier level is it? I am also looking at a Rawlings Heart of the Hide and All-Star. FL_Catcher

The Easton MAKO Series Catchers Mitt (EMK2LE) would be a very great choice. It would rank right up there with the other models you mentioned. It would also play lighter compared to the Rawlings Heart of the Hide and All Star models. It will break-in easier as well.

The Easton MAKO Series Catchers Mitt (EMK2LE) may work for the 12 year old player if they have a hand size that would fit better in an adult style mitt. However, most 9 year old players would need a youth model that has a smaller wrist opening and smaller finger areas.
