Pros: Nice quality leather & excellent laces.

Cons: Only consider this for the very largest youth player. I had to return this glove because my son's had was swimming in the HUGE had stall. This glove needs to be redesigned.

Cons: it does seem to be for larger hands. But my son uses an under glove anyway.

Pros: My son (Normal sized 10 years old) plays competitive travelball and he loves this catcher's mitt. It has very good padding and the wrist guard is a great feature. Nice "POP" and ball is easy to transfer when throwing runners out. High quality leather for this Price Point. Breaking it in was easy and has formed nicely to fit my son's hand. Could be a little too big for 9 and Under Players.

Cons: He will outgrow this catcher's mitt sooner than later.

Pros: Not much but it is nice and light like the colors

Cons: This glove gets floppy very fast and seems to never retain its shape, the wrist guard is uneeded; if i was you i would not buy this and buy a rawlings renegade at the price

Yes, this is going to be a good glove to get the ball out fast. This is going to be a youth glove so the hand and finger stalls are going to be smaller then adult gloves.

Is there a way to take off the wrist guard on the catchers mitt? That's the only reason why I'm hesitant to by the glove. sportnut

Yes. You are able to remove the wrist guard by un-lacing the small area that attaches the wrist guard to the heel of the glove.

The All Star Young Pro Series (CM1100BT Youth Catcher's Mitt) and the CM1200BT will be made of All Star's extra soft leather. Break-in will not take very long. The CM1100PRO will be made from a higher grade Japanese Tanned US Steer hide. The CM1100PRO will also have better durability compared to the other models.
