Description

Known for comfortable gloves that perform unlike anything else on the field, Akadema has raised the bar with the Torino Series. With a light brown palm and a chocolate brown shell, the Torino Series performs even better than it looks! Akadema's newest glove line is made from soft and smooth kip leather that enables the Torino Series to be 20% lighter than traditional gloves, yet just as durable as U.S. steerhide. These gloves break-in quickly yet retain their shape better than any other glove on the market. This 12.75 Inch pattern features a Flytrap Six Finger Web design and is the perfect size for an outfielder. Never drop a ball again as the pocket on the 12.75 Inch Torino Series is made deep to make ball retention easier. With a conventional open back, this glove is made to give players the ultimate control in the field that they've been looking for. Akadema: Bring Your "A" Game! Free Shipping!

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Akadema Torino Series: ADV33? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Could I use this glove for playing 3rd base in softball? Huntsy
Sure. At 12.75 inches, it would be a good size glove for a third basemen in softball. It would also make an excellent outfielders glove for baseball.
Brett
do you think this glove at 12.75 would fit a 130 pound 5-7 thirteen yr old ?? adam
A 12.75 inch glove may be a little too big for a 13 year old. Most High School age outfielders will use a 12.5 inch glove and even Major League outfielders don't use anything larger than 12.75 inches. I would recommend a glove around 12 inches for a 13 year old.
TJ
Does this glove come in 12.25 or 12.5? joe
The Akadema Torino Series does come in a 12.25 inch. This can be found here: http://www.justballgloves.com/product/akadema-torino-series--atx15-with-free-glove-bag/13436/.
Jennifer
what is the best kind of pocket for outfield joe
The Adadema Torino Series ADV33 has a trapeze web which is an excellent web choice for outfielders.
Derek H.
I was wondering if this glove could be used for softball, particularly outfield? AkademaNerd
Yes, the Akadema Torino Series: ADV33 With FREE Glove Bag would be able to be used as an Outfield Softball glove. I know a lot of outfielders prefer at least a 13" glove. But this one is at 12.75" and will come with a deep pocket. The Flytrap Trapeze Web will help trap everything that enters the glove with comfort and ease. This glove is made with Kip Leather and is 20% lighter than regular leathers. It will also break-in faster than typical leather.
Brandon
What are some of the best outfielders gloves that have webbing like this glove? Ryan
The Akadema Torino Series (ADV33) would be a very high quality model featuring the six finger web desing. Another popular choice would be the Rawlings Heart of the Hide (PRO601JB).

About the Brand

In Akadema's short but remarkable history it has become one of America's hottest baseball and softball equipment company for professional, college, high school, and serious youth players. The Akadema phenomenon started with the Professional Glove Series and continues with the Reptilian®, Praying Mantis®, Pro Soft™ and Prodigy™ Glove Series as well as the Amish Wood™, Tacktion™ and Xtension® Aluminum Bat Series. Akadema's ownership attributes increasing market share to their innovative professional baseball and softball product line in contrast to mass-produced products that have little to do with quality, feel, or design to raise the level of play.

Akadema's products are manufactured for professional players but are now accessible to semi pro, college, high school, and serious youth players. Akadema products are still designed with the professional player in mind but competitively priced for the professional player at heart. So it's your turn to think like a professional, play like a professional, and use Akadema Professional!

Akadema now has both baseball and fastpitch softball advisory staffs that they work with closely to implement new ideas. Members of the baseball advisory staff include Hall of Famers Ozzie Smith and Gary Carter as well as Howard Johnson, Reggie Smith, Luis Polonia, Sandy Martinez and many others. Fastpitch stars that are on the advisory staff include Crystl Bustos and Julie Smith. The input on performance from the advisory staff gives Akadema something they cannot put a price on. Their advisors don’t talk about marketing or places to sell the gloves, they just care about performance.
