Description

The Wilson A2K Series simply exudes greatness. These gloves were meticulously developed with a focus on durability and a break-in faster than you can imagine. Made from Pro Stock Select Leather, these gloves use only the top 5% of all hides Wilson purchases and were triple sorted for consistency and flawlessness. This unbelievable consistency in the leather leads to a stronger pocket and an all around higher quality glove. The A2K Series features Rolled Dual Welting where strips of Pro Stock Leather are skived thin and rolled to provide long-lasting shape. Inside, a thin, strategically cut piece of leather is placed between the palm and outer shell, providing maximum pocket stability and improving the durability where the most wear-and-tear is experienced. Its 2X Palm Construction also provides maximum shock resistance during the catch. A2K gloves showcase the time and passion that Wilson's craftsmen has put into every single glove they produce, as their master technicians spend 3X longer pounding and shaping the glove by hand before it even leaves the factory. That should be all the proof you need that the A2K from Wilson was created with unparalleled craftsmanship, and is one of the highest quality gloves a player could ever take to the diamond.

This Wilson A2K Brandon Phillips Series: A2KRB16DTDUDE features an 11.50" pattern size, an I-Web (Wilson H-Web) with Double X Laces, exclusive Faux Snakeskin Pro Stock Leather along the fingerbacks, and is the game model of MLB Star Brandon Phillips. This glove is sick!!! Savely coach

Pros: The title says it all! Just sick!! i looked at a bunch of the more stock looking colors of the a2000 at a local sporting goods store and compared to them this glove is just gorgeous! The leather is top notch as well! Hey its baseball and looks mean nothing but this glove is amazing on the field as well! Love the fit and feel. Still a long way to go before i have this broken in the good old fashion way throw, catch, repeat! I have used aso mallet to pound the leather a bit but no water and no steam on this one! i want it to last many years and those technics will shorten the life of any glove! Buy this glove you will be very happy you did! If you can get the blem model i suggest you do youll have a2k at a2000 price! I could not find the blem! the leather was perfect no stains at all and hey its a glove after a few games its gonna get dirty anyway! great glove, shipping and service!!! ty jbg! I am super happy with my purchase!

Cons: none

Would the A2KRB16DTDUDE or the Pro Preferred be better in quality such as lacing, leather, stitching and be better for middle infield and 3rd? jeff
The 2016 Wilson A2K Brandon Phillips Series (A2KRB16DTDUDE) and the Rawlings Pro Preferred Series (PROS202B) are both great options to consider for middle infield play or 3B. The A2K will feature Pro Stock select leather - cut from top 5% of all Wilson leather hides and double palm construction - prevents premature wearing of the leather in the palm. Meanwhile, the Rawlings PP will feature kip leather construction - supple and light with tight grain structure for the best durability possible and the laces are pretested at 100 LB tensile for strength and durability. Both are high quality gloves and it really comes down to your personal preference.
Cameron

The 2016 Wilson A2K Brandon Phillips Series: A2KRB16DTDUDE is an infield specific pattern and may be used by a third baseman.

I'm considering getting a Wilson A2K. Is it worth the price? Is there another glove that offers similar quality for a lesser price? bwilly
The 2016 Wilson A2K Brandon Phillips Series: A2KRB16DTDUDE and the A2K series would be a great glove to consider. The pro stock leather used is cut from the top 5% of all Wilson leather hides. If not this model, we would recommend the Wilson A2000 series; great leather quality but not as high of a price point.
Cameron
Would the A2KRB16DTDUDE be a closer cut to the 1786 or the DP15 model? jpop
Given that all DP15 models have a smaller hand fit, the 2016 Wilson A2K Brandon Phillips Series: A2KRB16DTDUDE will be more similar to the 1786 models.
Marcus
What does "good" condition mean for a used glove? glove_fanatic
A model of this 2016 Wilson A2K Brandon Phillips Series (A2KRB16DTDUDE) that is considered to be in "good" condition, will be a glove that saw a good amount of use by its original order, but was cared for extremely well and sent back to JustBallGloves under the 100 Day Guarantee. The glove will probably be decently broke in and not require a whole lot of work by the new owner.
Ben
Does this glove work for pitchers? Slammmmmerr
The 2016 Wilson A2K Brandon Phillips Series: A2KRB16DTDUDE has an infield specific pattern ideal for middle infield and 3rd base. It can be used by pitchers, however, pitchers generally prefer a closed web in order to better conceal the ball.
Angelique
Are the colors on this glove ok for pitchers? The Land
This colors on this 2016 Wilson A2K Brandon Phillips Series (A2KRB16DTDUDE) should be just fine for a pitcher as none of the colors will be be confused for a baseball. However, this glove will have an I-Webbing on it that will not be very advantageous on the mound since batters may be able to peer through the I-Web and see the pitcher's throwing hand while it is gripping pitches.
Ben

What makes this glove better then other infield gloves? Why should I pick this glove over others? baseball
The 2016 Wilson A2K Brandon Phillips Series (A2KRB16DTDUDE) features Pro stock leather with Double Palm Construction. It will retain its shape better than other gloves in its class. It should be easier to break in than other high end gloves due to the 3X more Craftsman shaping. To top it off it is a pro specific model so it is one of a kind is there is a very slim chance that you will see others with the same glove as you.
Carter
I'm really trying to find the right glove for infield. I am been between this glove and a few others. (1) How does this compare to A2000 mitts? (2) Is this the best glove on the market as of now? nick
(1) This 2016 Wilson A2K Brandon Phillips Series (A2KRB16DTDUDE) will be considered slightly higher in quality when compared to A2000 mitts as the leather on this A2K will be of a higher grade. Higher grade leather typically allows for more longevity in the glove. (2) This A2K is an excellent glove and will be ranked as one of the best offerings from Wilson. There may be some gloves out there that feature some higher grade leather than this A2K, but the A2K line will be one of the most popular lines of gloves out there on the market.
Ben
Do all the different colors and designs make the glove look too crazy or does it look good? mike
In my opinion, I think the 2016 Wilson A2K Brandon Phillips Series (A2KRB16DTDUDE) is very slick looking. However, every player will have their own opinion on how a mitt appears to them. I would recommend making a purchase for a glove only if the colorway is attractive to you.
Ben

Assuming the player takes good care of the glove off the field, A2K models can last multiple years.
Kyle J.
