Description

Since its introduction in 1957, the Wilson A2000 has set the standard for premium ball gloves. With over 55 years of game changing performance, the A2000 only continues to get better and is still one of the most popular glove choices among baseball's top athletes. The A2000 is made from American Pro Stock Steerhide Leather that is hand selected for its rugged durability. Inside the glove, you've got an extremely comfortably Dri-Lex Wrist Lining. Dri-Lex Technology is an ultra-breathable material that transfers moisture away from the skin, keeping your hand cool and dry. Each A2000 model also features patented Dual-Welting that creates a pre-curved finger design to help maintain the most stable and durable pocket possible. With this particular glove, Wilson has replaced some of the leather on the back of the shell with their proprietary SuperSkin material. SuperSkin further reduces the gloves break-in time, repels moisture and dirt, and is actually 2X stronger and lighter than leather. Unmatched in their feel and performance, all A2000 patterns are endlessly field tested and constantly improved by the hundreds the professionals and top amateur players that choose only Wilson Ball Gloves.

As the Game Model of Dustin Pedroia, the Wilson A2000 Super Skin Series: A20RB16DP15SS offers a few extra features that you won't find in the A2000 1786. This glove includes all of the fit modifications that Dustin Pedroia requests for his own game-model glove. These specs include a smaller hand opening / tighter finger stalls for a more-snug fit, longer laces, and a low profile heel. By removing the padding typically found at the base of the pocket or "heel", Wilson is able to create a design that closes easier and minimizes the rebound created when bad-hops hit the base of the glove.

This A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16DP15SS features an 11.50" pattern size, an I-Web (Wilson H-Web) with Double X Laces, and is the game model of MLB Star Dustin Pedroia. Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16DP15SS? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Can you give me a better idea of the "Good" condition of the used glove? Is it soaked with oil or broken-in incorrectly? Dr
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Super Skin Series (A20RB16DP15SS) is listed as in "good" condition. The only higher rating would be "excellent." It is in good shape and may have a slightly broken-in feel and maybe some slight discoloration on some of the labeling or maybe a few scuffs on the leather. If you order it and get it and it is not up to your standards, you are able to send it back to us with free shipping for a full refund or exchange credit.
Patrick
Can you email pictures of the used glove you are offering at $162.99? Lance Johnson
We do not take pictures of the used items we offer like the used 2016 Wilson A2000 Super Skin Series (A20RB16DP15SS) for several reasons. In general, especially with gloves, pictures do not convey the condition or feel of the glove which would be the indication of use. Also, the gloves usually move very quickly and we often do not have time to post pictures. Lastly, posting more photos specifically of the used items rather than new ones runs the risk of confusing other customers and cluttering the site. All used items are covered under the same 100 day guarantee that the rest of the gloves on the site are so if you get it in, and you do not like it, you can send it back with our free shipping for a refund or exchange.
Patrick
Can this glove be ordered in an 11.25? Same color as this on? Carson
No, unfortunately the 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB16DP15SS) is only available in the 11.50" pattern.
John
What glove would be a better choice for a middle infielder, the DP15 or the G4? Especially in terms of double plays Julian
Both the 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB16DP15SS) and the G4 would be great options for a middle infielder when it comes to turning DP's. Most middle infielders will use a 11.25 or 11.50 inch glove so both would be great options for you.
Cameron
Can this glove be used at third base.? Drew
The 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB16DP15SS) can be used at 3B.
Cameron
I am gonna get this glove but I am concerned about the reduced padding in the palm. Will
The 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16DP15SS does feature a low profile heel which is where the heel padding is removed for easier closure and to reduce rebound on bad hops. This is not something to be concerned about as it is a positive feature associated with this 2016 Wilson A2000. If the low profile heel is not something that you enjoy or like we do offer a 100 Day Money Back Guarantee on all of our gloves here at Just Ball Gloves. What that means is you will be able to return that glove back to us for a full refund or exchange of a different glove as long as it is within 100 days of the purchase date.
John
I have a fairly large hand and in the review video it says it is made for smaller hands. Will I be able to get this glove? Awright
The 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB16DP15SS), as well as the other models featuring the Dustin Pedroia fit, will have a smaller wrist opening and tighter finger stalls. With that said, someone who has larger hands will probably not find this model or other Pedroia models to be accommodating.
Cameron
Would this be a good glove for a thirteen year old? Marco
The 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16DP15SS would be a good option for a 13 year old if you don't mind having to spend some time breaking this glove in; this would due to the higher leather quality (Pro Stock Leather - long-lasting structure). The 11.50 inch pattern would be an ideal size for a 3B, SS or 2B. The wrist opening and finger stalls will be larger than a youth model and could cause some issues for someone with a smaller hand. If that is the case, look into getting a Wilson Dustin Pedroia model as these gloves will feature a smaller wrist opening and tighter finger stalls.
Cameron
What size glove would a high school middle infielder wear? derek
A high school middle infielder would typically wear somewhere around an 11.25 inch pattern. The 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16DP15SS features an 11.50 inch pattern and is an infield specific pattern.
John P.
Are the colors on this glove okay for pitchers? Saaammmy
Yes, the 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16DP15SS can be used by pitchers with these colors. Gloves that are white or grey in color cannot be used by pitchers.
Angelique
What size would be good for me as an 11 year old shortstop? bob
I think that as an 11 year old shortstop, there is a chance that this 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB16DP15SS) could work well for you. This glove will have an 11.50" length which should work just fine and it will also have a more snug fit when compared to other adult gloves due to the tighter wrist opening and narrower finger stalls. However, if it were too large for you, it will be covered by our 100 day guarantee and it could be sent back for a full refund or exchange (even if used).
Ben
How long does this glove take to break in if I play catch everyday? otter00
The 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16DP15SS will require a significant break-in period. I am unable to give an exact amount of time that it will take to break-in. Please refer to our glove resource guide below for tips on how to properly break-in your glove. http://www.justballgloves.com/glove-resource-guide/breaking-in-a-glove/
John P.
Can I still use 150 degree water on the SuperSkin? thomas t
We do not recommend using hot water as a break-in method on any glove as it will dry out the leather and cause it to crack.
Angelique
How long could I use this glove as a 13 yr old shortstop? Anonymous
This 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB16DP15SS) is built with a slightly tighter fitting when compared to most other adult fitting baseball gloves (smaller wrist opening and narrower finger stalls). If you have a smaller hand and the glove fits comfortable as you get bigger, then there is an opportunity to use this glove multiple seasons.
Ben
My son found this 2016 glove it to be much tighter around fingers than the 2015 model. Does this 2016 DP15 have smaller finger slots than the 2015 DP15? Mike D
The fitting for the 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB16DP15SS) is not intentionally designed to be different than the fitting for the 2015 model of the same glove. However, variances can be found between individual gloves. If your order was placed from JustBallGloves and it is still under 100 days from the purchase date, it can still be sent back to our warehouse for a full refund or exchange under our 100 Day Guarantee. Be sure and reach out to us at 866-321-4568 if this is the case and want to return the glove.
Ben
Can you use mink oil and glove conditioner on a glove together? If not, which would you recommend for a white baseball glove? Jose Ruiz
You would be okay using both products on the glove. I just recommend sticking with Wilson products for your Wilson glove, as those products are specifically designed to be used with Wilson baseball gloves.
Nick
Can you fit 2 fingers in the pinkie slot? Ryan L.
Yes, the pinky finger slot on this 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB16DP15SS) can be adjusted to ensure that the ring and pinky finger can fit into the one slot.
Ben
how do you clean the superskin when it gets dirty? luke
There is not an efficient or effective way to clean a glove or SuperSkin. The best way to clean the 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16DP15SS would be to use a clean rag to remove any dirt. Would not suggest using excessive moisture to remove any dirt buildup.
Cameron
Can you put water on SuperSkin to clean it? jeff
I would recommend using a damp cloth to clean the SuperSkin material on the 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB16DP15SS).
Jake
Is this a good glove for a third baseman? aaron724
The 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16DP15SS features an 11.50 inch pattern and is an infield specific pattern so it may be used by a third baseman.
John P.
I'm confused at what the SuperSkin is, is it still leather? Will it still form like leather and especially to a smaller hand? How long of a break in period? ben
SuperSkin that is used on the 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16DP15SS is for the purposes of reducing the overall weight of the glove as well as helping repel moisture. The SuperSkin is not leather like what the pocket of the glove will feature. This material will have no affect on the overall fit of the glove nor will it hinder or impede the break-in process on the glove.
Cameron
Would this glove be a good glove for a second basemen? I have a smaller hand so would this glove be good for me? Dale
The 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB16DP15SS) would be an excellent option for you.
Jake
If I have a smaller hand would the DP15 or the Wilson 1786 be the right glove for me? Dale
For a player with a smaller hand it would be beneficial to consider a glove with the Dustin Pedroia fit. This glove will have a smaller wrist opening and tighter finger stalls. The 1786 models from Wilson will more than likely fit too loose on your hand.
Cameron
I'm 13, 4'11" and I play second base. I have a smaller hands so would the DP15 SuperSkin be a good glove for me? Also, should a second basemen flare the glove for more range or no? dale
A player with smaller hands would be better suited to use a glove that has the Dustin Pedrioa fit as these models will have smaller hand opening and tighter finger stalls for more secure fit. As for getting a model with SuperSkin or not, that would be one of personal preference. Also, flaring out the glove to allow for a wider fielding surface could potentially be a great way to shape/form your glove during the break-in process if that is what you prefer. Remember, it is all about what feels comfortable to you individually although most infielders would agree that a wider opening would be more beneficial.
Cameron
would this glove be good for a 14 year old who plays third and has an average size maybe a little bigger then average size hand james
Yes, the 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB16DP15SS) would be a great option for you. It is a very quality glove.
Carter
Do you have this model but in blue laces? Jacob Brand
We do not have any gloves in the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series that are going to feature blue laces at this time.
Carter
Think this would be too big for an 8u player? Does the wrist piece have holes punch to tighten it down beyond what it's laced at out of the factory? dallasraiders
The 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16DP15SS features the Pedroia Fit - Smaller Hand Opening, Tighter Finger Stalls for More Secure Fit. The wrist is already tightened to its smallest fit.
Linsey
Are the inside finger stalls tighter in the A2000 DP15 than the A2000 DP15 Superskin? 9u dad
The finger stalls in all of the DP15 A2000's are going to be the same.
Carter
What is the best way to break in this glove? Bbballl
There are multiple ways to break in the 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16DP15SS or any other glove but we would recommend reviewing our videos under "Glove Resource Guide."
Cameron
Is this a good glove for my 13-year-old son? Just for reference he's 5'2" tall and weighs a little over 100 pounds John
The 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16DP15SS is a good glove for a 13 year old who plays infield. It has a 11.50 inch pattern thus making it ideal for infield use.
Cameron
Is this glove good for a 3rd baseman? trent
The 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16DP15SS features an 11.50" pattern and is typically used by middle infielders, but it certainly works well for a 3rd baseman as well.
Jason
I'm trying to get the best glove possible for my 9-year old travel ball player. He plays all over the field (2B, 3B, OF, P). I tried the Nokona Alpha Select and wasn't a fan. Is this one likely to be too big for him, and would it be unsuitable for the outfield when he gets a little older? I know Wilson has the A1K series, too, but from what I understand, they have the Pedroia fit at all positions -- wouldn't the 11.5 infield model of the A1K pretty much just be this same glove but with lower-quality leather and no Superskin? Jenkins
This would be a good glove for him right now, but it would fall short if he tries using it in the outfield as he gets older, yes. Older players typically use 12.5" gloves or higher for the outfield. Only the 11.5" A1K gloves have the Pedroia fit.
Kyle J.
Because of the red laces would USSSA restrict one from using while pitching? woolbully
The 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16DP15SS would not have any restrictions from using on the mound due to the red laces.
Cameron
My son is 11 and plays travel ball. He is big for his age 5'4" 165 lbs. He plays all over: 3rd, 1st, P and occasionally OF. He has an outfield glove but is looking at one for his infield work. His hands are big for his age. What I saw the Pedrioa is a small fit. Do you think this glove would work for him? josh
I think that the 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB16DP15SS) would probably work great for him but it is hard to determine for certain with gloves. That is why we have our 100 day guarantee so that you can get it and try it for up to 100 days and if it ended up being too small you could return it for a full refund or exchange.
Carter
Can you steam this glove (I'm worried about the SuperSkin)? Walshing machine
I would recommend avoiding the use of a steamer with any mitt (including this 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16DP15SS). Typically, the steaming process expedites the drying-out of the leather and damages the glove overall. As well, I do not think the SuperSkin will benefit from the steaming process.
Ben
Is this glove suitable to use in the outfield? sammy salamander
This 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series (A20RB16DP15SS) features an 11.50" length which will be too short for use in the outfield by a player that is 12 years or older.
Ben
What size glove would a 3rd baseman use? I heard it is usually larger than the 11.50 inch. Is this true? Jim
The most common size for a third baseman's glove is 11.75" or 12".
Kyle J.
Do yall make this glove for a kid who throws left handed? jace
We do not have any 2016 Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB16DP15SS in a left handed thrower.
