Pros: This is a great glove. I play the outfield in senior leagues and this glove is great for one hand running catches..keeps its shape and holds the ball..Many larger gloves are too soft in the web..

Cons: None

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 Slow Pitch Softball Glove: WTA20RS16135? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Most slow pitch softball players whether they play infield or outfield use 14 inch gloves. Why doesn't Wilson have that in the A2000? Jim
Wilson has not specified to us why they have not offered a 14 inch pattern of the A2000 line. The 2016 Wilson A2000 Slow Pitch Softball Glove (WTA20RS16135) is one of the first models of slow pitch specific A2000 models that have come out.

The description of the A2000 gloves states it has a larger hand opening. I have a medium to small hand. Will this glove work for me? Jim
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Slow Pitch Softball Glove (WTA20RS16135) should probably work. I believe that it is comparing the hand opening size to a fastpitch glove which would be much smaller. If the glove does not fit for you, we have a free return policy within 100 days of your purchase date.

Do they make this mitt for lefties? love the game
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Slow Pitch Softball Glove: WTA20RS16135 is featured in a LHT model. Go to Wilson's website and use the product code WTA20RS16135 in their search engine to locate this glove.

Can you tell me the weight of this glove? I notice it has the SuperSkin on the back but wonder how much weight that saves. tdubby23
Unfortunately Wilson does not give us the exact weight of their gloves. The 2016 Wilson A2000 Slow Pitch Softball Glove (WTA20RS16135) is going to be a lighter glove due to that Super Skin but I cannot give a more exact weight unfortunately.

For a break-in, I'm thinking about doing the "Hot water method" like Aso. What is the recommended way to break in this glove? Chopsticks
Unless you are experienced in the method of breaking in gloves using hot water, I would recommend against it for the break-in. If it goes wrong, you will ruin the glove and could be out of a glove completely. To be honest, the best way to break in this 2016 Wilson A2000 Slow Pitch Softball Glove (WTA20RS16135) is to use it as much as possible (games of catch, practice, real games, etc...). As well, to soften up the glove at the beginning, you can apply a small amount of glove oil, but nothing significant (as too much oil just weighs down a glove).
