Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB16YP66GM? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Is this appropriate for a high school varsity outfielder? david
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB16YP66GM features a 12.75 inch pattern and would be a great option to consider for a varsity high school OF.
Cameron
Is this glove legal for pitching? sf
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB16YP66GM) could be used for pitching, but it is ideally an outfield model.
Damon
What reason would I buy this glove and not move up to an A2K? Darius Rucker
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB16YP66GM is a great glove as are the A2K models. The A2K models will run a little higher in price point as these gloves will have a double palm construction to help the glove retain its shape as well as prevent premature wearing of the leather in the palm; as well, the A2K models will require less time to break-in.
Cameron
Could I put two in the pinkie finger slot? mike
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB16YP66GM is a 12.75 inch pattern for OF's and most will place two fingers in the pinkie slot of the glove.
Cameron
Could this glove be used by an 11 year old? MS
Since the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB16YP66GM is an Adult glove, it likely will have a fit that is too large for an 11 year old player. For players of that age, I'd recommend going with a Youth glove.
Marcus
About how long would you say the break in time is on this glove? When would I need to purchase it, to have it ready for my varsity district games in February? Ean
It really just depends on how much time you put into breaking it in. The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB16YP66GM) will come in relatively stiff, due to the high quality leather that Wilson uses with their A2000 gloves. I would say as long as you got this glove by Christmas, and worked hard at breaking it in, it would be ready for your season in February.

My son is 5'5" and 100 lbs. Is this a good glove for a 13 year old playing 60-90? shaun
Glove size recommendations are dependent on the player's age and position(s). Our general recommendation for a 13 year old utility player is 11.5". The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB16YP66GM has a 12.75" pattern, of which is typically used by an adult outfielder. If your son is an outfielder, a 12.5" would be a suitable size. This particular Wilson A2000 may be too large for him.
Angelique
Would you happen to have or be able to get this glove color for a lefty? Mark
Unfortunately the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB16YP66GM is a closeout model and we would not be able to get more in from Wilson for a LHT.
Cameron
My son is 14. Would this be a good glove for him? Jeff
If your son is 14 and playing outfield, then yes, I think that he would be just fine using this 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB16YP66GM). It may be a little large at the outset, but he should be able to grow into the glove just fine as high school progresses.
Ben
What shade of blue is that? zack
Would categorize the shade of blue on the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB16YP66GM as "Dodger" blue.
Cameron
Would you be able to use this as a softball glove? I just really love the colors and style of this glove. Thanks moose333
Yes, the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB16YP66GM can be used as a softball glove. As long as you break it in with a softball in stead of a baseball the pocket should be big enough for softball.
