Pros: Bought this glove for my son (10 year old) and it fits his hand perfectly. Break in has not been too bad. Put some conditioner on the glove and wrapped it upon arrival and it aided with the getting it ready to go. The leather seems to be high quality and the color is nice. My son loves the saddle colored pocket. Hopefully it lasts until he gets to high school.

Pros: The H-Web offers something unique to the middle infield A2000 lineup in its deeper pocket at the 11.5" size. Can also be used at 3rd for the player wanting a smaller glove and the control of a deep pocket. Leather is excellent quality, is fairly light, shapes easily, and breaks in within a few days. Very much a glove for players who take their equipment seriously and will last years.

Cons: None, really. The palm leather is thinner than most gloves, but has a performance benefit as it deadens the impact a bit. But it's something to be aware of as you'll take a few stingers there.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB16PP05? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Is this glove good for a player that is a middle infielder and third baseman in 6th grade with 70 MPH pitching? What would be better because my son likes this glove but also like the game glove of player and likes SuperSkin. baseballbro
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB16PP05) would be a great glove for someone playing middle infield or third baseman. Personal preference with regards to the SuperSkin. This material will make the glove lighter, more moisture resistant and a little more durable than the traditional leather.
Cameron
Is this glove too big for second base? b
At 11.50", the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB16PP05 would be a great fir for playing second base.

My son was using the high quality Vince we got from y'all a couple of years ago. It was stolen and with baseball season upon us he needs a glove for shortstop that is ready to use so I'm looking at your used selections. I'm looking at this glove and the Heart of the Hide Game Day Rawlings. Is one better than the other for his needs or is one in better shape than the other? Or, do you have a better recommendation? Jack
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB16PP05 will be in excellent shape. This means the glove will show slight signs of break-in, some leather discoloration from previous owner attempting to break-in glove (use of oil/glove conditioner) as well as possible marks on the leather from use. The Rawlings Heart of the Hide Game Day Series: PRO200-2PB will also be in excellent condition. Both of these gloves are 11.50 inch patterns and are ideal for a middle infielder. The break-in period or how both of these gloves will look is tough to say for sure. Being that both are in excellent condition, we would say both of these gloves will be similar in respect to condition and break-in.

I was wondering if this glove would be a good glove for my son who plays on his high school varsity baseball team? He is a freshman and is 15 years old. Coach Luca Marcetti
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB16PP05 is an excellent option for a high school player. The 11.50" pattern is typically best suited for an infielder at that level.
Jason
I am coming from a 11.50 inch 1786 model and I was wondering if the only difference between the two is the web? Or, are there more differences between the two models? Colt
The only real differences between the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB16PP05 and the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB161786 is going to be the difference in web and the difference in color.

Is the pocket of this glove too deep for shortstop compared to an I-Web? Bobby Joe
The pocket on the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB16PP05 will not be too deep, compared to an I-Web, for a SS.
Cameron
How will the pocket and the way this glove plays compare to the Robinson Cano Series A2000? Nickcal35
These two gloves should play nearly the same, the main differences are the web design and the color scheme, which are mostly personal preference features. I would say the conventional I-Web design on the Cano is more popular than the H-Web on the A20RB16PP05.

What size? coopers baseball

Does this glove fit tight like a DP15 or like the more traditional models? mr makita
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB16PP05 will have a more traditional fit than the dp15.

I'm looking for my 9 yr old son. Would this glove, size wise, be a good choice? If so is there an A2000 youth glove? Tim Allen
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB16PP05 would be a bit big for your son at 9. I would take a look at the Wilson A2000 11.5" Dustin Pedroia Baseball Glove: WTA20RB18DP15, it would fit him a bit better.
