Pros: Quality glove as always, can tell it will last. Has Pedroia Infielder A2000 for SS and now the A2000 12.75 inch for outfield. Set for many years

Cons: Took a little while to break in - a few practices and games. But normal for a quality ball glove.

My boy is 13 looking for a Wilson outfield glove. What sizes does it come in? Looking for 12 1/4. He has the Wilson A1000 11 3/4. dan
If you are looking for a 12.25 inch pattern with Wilson there are a few different options. They are: Wilson A1K Series (A1KBB4OF1225), Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB15GG47GM) in RHT only, 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB16GG47GM) in RHT only, and the 2016 Wilson A1K Series (A1KRB16OF1225).

I'm a 16 year old high school player and I was wondering if this would be the right size for me? carsón
If you are an outfielder the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20161799) would be the ideal size for your age and position.
Damon
Is this glove appropriate for fastpitch softball players? Rick
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20161799) is fit for an adult male so most fastpitch softball players will have hands smaller than what the glove is intended for. This larger fit could cause the glove to fit loosely on the player's hand which can be problematic.
Patrick
Where is the Wilson A2000 1799 made? jim
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20161799 is made in Japan.
John P.
What is the weight of this glove? Kyle
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20161799 weighs about 23 oz.
Jason
Would this glove be too big for a 15 year old 5'5" outfielder with smaller-average size hands? joe
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20161799 is a 12.75 inch pattern and maybe too big for an outfielder with smaller hands. Might be more beneficial to go with a 12.50 inch pattern.
Cameron
How much heavier is this glove compared to a SuperSkin of the same size? Pete
This 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20161799) will weigh 1 oz to a 1.5 oz heavier than a model of the same size and build that has a SuperSkin backing.
Ben
Can you go 3 in the pinkie with this glove? baseball123
It will be extremely difficult to put 3 of your fingers into the pinky slot of this 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20161799). I probably would not advise wearing this glove in that manner.
Ben
What size should a 5'3" 135 lbs outfielder get? chase
A 12.75" pattern would work well for an outfielder in the high school age group. Typically, outfielders that are 13 or older use anywhere from a 12" pattern up to a 12.75" pattern. I recommend using whichever length you are most comfortable with in that range.
Nick
Why don't they make this glove for lefties? Gammer
This 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20161799) is actually made for left hand throwers. Unfortunately, we do not have the left hand thrower option in stock currently. I imagine that within the next month or so we will be re-stocking of the left hand thrower of this glove.
Ben
How much does this glove weigh? Chris
Unfortunately, Wilson does not provide the weight of the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20161799 and that would be a better question to ask them directly. However, the glove is going to weigh around 24 oz. Wilson can be reached by phone at (800) 874-5930 if you want more of an exact weight.
Jason
Is this glove good for third base? yourboi
While you could use this glove for third base, I would recommend it more for an outfielder. The 12.75" pattern is designed for outfield use, and typically third basemen want a glove more around the 12" size.
Kyle J.
Would you recommend this glove for a 12u player? This is his last year in Cal Ripken. I know his main position will be outfield. Or is there another glove you would recommend? Eman
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20161799 is a 12.75 inch pattern and is a great glove for an OF who is in high school or college. For a 12 year old, this glove might not be the best fit as the wrist opening and finger stalls will more than likely be too big. The A2000 series will also take some time to break in and for some younger players this can also be problematic and will likely require some help from an adult to get the glove game ready. The Dustin Pedroia models will have a better fit for a youth player but one will not be able to get these fits in a bigger size for an OF.
Cameron
Do you think this is too big for a 15 year old freshman? Not sure to get this or a 12.5? mattyice
I do not think that a 12.75" glove is going to be too big for a 15 year old freshman. I would actually recommend this 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20161799) for a 15 year old outfielder.
Cartere
Is there a significant weight difference between 1799s that don't have SuperSkin and that do have SuperSkin? Yeti
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20161799) is going to be a noticbly amount heavier than the comparable SuperSkin models. That does not mean that one or the other is better, but you will notice a difference in weight.
Carter
For an outfielder and pitcher what do you think is a better fit, the H web or the modified trapeze? I can't decide between the two and really like this glove. marshall
For a pitcher/OF one would be better served with a closed style webbing like the modified trapeze web. With the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20161799 featuring an H-Web, as well as the 12.75 inch size, this glove would not be a great fit for both a pitcher and OF.
Cameron
does this glove come in lefty? marshall
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20161799 does come in a left hand thrower option.
Logan
Does this glove come in lefty? marshall
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20161799 does come in a LHT option.
Cameron
Is this glove no longer offered in the original all black with the yellow embroidering? Would you need to get a glove customized? Picky
Here at JustBallGloves, we are only able to sell what is provided by Wilson in their yearly offerings. We will not have this 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20161799) in an all-black base color and yellow embroidering. Due to the availability from Wilson, we will not have the color combo you would be wanting to purchase. If you wanted to get a glove with that look, you may need to look to the customization option.
