Is this glove faster to break-in than the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: A20RB151787SS? The Glove Man
No, the SuperSkin material on the back of the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: (A20RB151787SS) makes it a bit easier to break-in than the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB161787).
Patrick
Is this glove similar to the dustin prodroia model? aw
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB161787) will feature a larger wrist opening and finger stalls when compared to the Dustin Pedroia models. This will be the only difference when you are comparing the Pedroia models to the regular A2000 Series gloves.
Cameron
Is the glove all black or is the h web gray? Thanks aw
The I-Web of the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB161787) is a dark gray color.

I play shortstop and third for my middle school team. Do I need to get a 11.75" pattern or 11.50"? CamNewtonFan1
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB161787 is an 11.75 inch pattern and would be better suited for a 3B. If playing the middle infield on a regular basis, would suggest getting an 11.50 or 11.25 inch pattern as these gloves will make it easier on double-play turns as well as allow for easier feel when taking ground-balls and transferring to throwing hand.

I bought this glove a few months back. I will be playing freshman baseball in the spring. At the time of purchase, I thought I would be playing almost equal infield and outfield. (11.75" isn't too big for infield, too small for outfield) But during training, I have done only outfield drills. So I'm not sure how much time I will play in the infield. My question is will this glove put me at a disadvantage in the outfield? I do have an old Rawlings glove, the player preferred series: rbg1225nc. Would I be better off using that or the Wilson, or just buying another new glove? Dylan
Typically, for a player your age playing outfield, we would recommend using a 12" glove. However, you would be able to use that glove if you feel comfortable with it. The sizes are recommendations and intended to help, but it mostly comes down to personal preference and how you perform with the glove.

I am 42 yrs old and play competitively in a men's league. I am leaning towards the 11.75" because I play several positions including pitcher, 2B and OF. I know a 12" is too big but I am tossed between the 11.75" and 11.5". Any thoughts? Doug
I would recommend the 11.75" glove. The glove is going to be small enough to work well on the infield, but big enough for the outfield.
Nick
I play 3rd an 2nd. Would this glove be good for what I play? Riley Capps
The 11.75" length of this 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB161787) should be a fine size for use between 3rd and 2nd base (some may feel it is large for 2nd base, but it will certainly be manageable).
Ben
Would this glove suit me best if I'm playing about half and half of shortstop and 3rd base on varsity level? I'm also 6'5 with very large hands and 17 years old. Jonny
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB161787 features an 11.75" pattern and it would be a great option for a player that plays both shortstop and third base.
Jason

While breaking-in this glove, should I use Aso's hot water method? Or will that destroy the leather? peen
I would recommend not employing the water method used by Aso when trying to break-in this 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB161787). That method should only be used by an individual that is an expert in breaking-in gloves in that manner. If other individuals try to break-in a glove in that style, the leather generally gets destroyed.
Ben
Does this glove have this, D-Fusion pocket pad creates No Sting Catch Zone? Dom
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB161787 does not have the D-Fusion pocket pad.
Cameron
I play third base and I'm looking to get a new infielders glove. What would be better in the 1787 series, 11.50 or 11.75? trey
The correct size glove to use at 3B is one of personal preference. Both a 11.50 inch and 11.75 inch pattern would be good options to use at the position.
Cameron
Should I use it if I play outfield and infield? TSwik
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series A20RB161787 is designed for infield use.

I play for several teams and i mostly play centerfield but some 2nd Base. I'm leaning towards a 11.75inch but i'm deciding between that and the 11.5inch. Which glove would be best for me? Alex
If you play mostly outfield I would at least go with a 11.75" model.
Damon
Does this glove have a deep pocket? kalk
This 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB161787) features an 11.75" length and a pocket that will be plenty deep enough to handle a baseball on the infield (specifically at 2B, 3B and SS).
Ben
Im a 13 year old 5' 7" kid and i play mostly third base and outfield but i sometimes play second and i cant figure out which size i should get 11.5 or 11.75 which would be best Lucas Stadler
I would say for the positions that you listed I would recommend getting an 11.75 inch glove.
Carter
i play baseball and i usually play third base i'm considering a 11.75 or 12 but i have no idea which size is best the baseball kid
Most third basemen use anywhere between an 11.5 and a 11.75" glove. You could definitely go up to a 12" if you would like, it really is all about player preference. But I would say that 11.75" is the most common size.

My son is 12 and plays SS, P, and OF equally. He has an old A1000 11.25 that he loves, but we're thinking about getting him a slightly bigger glove for pitching and outfield. Was considering the new A1K 11.75 but saw this A2000 when using the glove search option. He's 12 and growing, will the A2000 be too big? Mac5
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB161787) would be an OK option. It would be good for outfield, but, the I-Web is not ideal for pitchers since it does not do a great job of hiding the ball.
Jake

Carter
I'm 13 and I play 3B. Would this glove be the right size for me? dh13
At 11.75", the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB161787 would be a great size for a 3B. Typically, players go with either 11.50" or 11.75" gloves for the hot corner.
Marcus
