Description

Wilson A1K 33" Baseball Catcher's Mitt: A1KRB16CM

Pro-Level Performance for the Up-And-Coming Player - the Wilson A1K is BACK!

Glove Benefits

The Wilson A1K takes the same legendary A2000 and A2K patterns designed for the game's Elite and tweaks them slightly to meet the needs of Intermediate to Advanced-level players everywhere. Built from Top-Shelf Leather, the A1K Series provides pro-level performance without the need for a lengthy break-in. This high-end steer hide leather is the best quality available on the open market, and it blends a high level of durability with a softer, mold-able feel that allows you to form the glove to your exact preference. Each glove in the A1K Series also features the Pedroia Fit. This feature includes all of the fit modifications that Dustin Pedroia requests for his own game-model glove. These include a smaller hand opening and tighter finger stalls for a more snug fit, longer laces, and a low-profile heel. By removing the padding typically found at the base of the pocket or "heel", Wilson is able to create a design that closes easier and minimizes the rebound created when bad hops hit the base of the glove.

This model features a 33.00" pattern size, a two-piece closed web, and is perfect for an Intermediate catcher; or one who just prefers a mitt with a snug fit.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A1K 33" Baseball Catcher's Mitt: A1KRB16CM? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Is this glove good for 75+ mph pitching and how many competitive seasons (60+ games) will it last me? Anon
How long the 2016 Wilson A1K Series (A1KRB16CM) will last would depend on how it is taken care of. It should hold up fine to that level of pitching.
Patrick
How would this glove compare to the Rawlings Heritage catcher's mitt? Anon
The Rawlings Heritage Pro Series (HPCM33) and the 2016 Wilson A1K Series (A1KRB16CM) compare very similarly.
Patrick
What glove size is this? I need a 33". Catchers Glove
The 2016 Wilson A1K Series: A1KRB16CM Catcher's Mitt features a 33" pattern.
Jason
My son is 12 years old, 5'4" and 125 pounds. Would this mitt be a good fit for him? Bear
The 2016 Wilson A1K Series: A1KRB16CM Catcher's Mitt features a smaller Pedroia Fit and it is typically a very good option for players that are around the age of 12 and younger.
Jason
I can't decide between this mitt or a Shoeless Joe. What would you recommend? jt
If you are looking for a catcher's mitt with a 33" circumference, but with more of a youth fitting (in the wrist opening and finger stalls), I would recommend this 2016 Wilson A1K Series (A1KRB16CM Catcher's Mitt) over the Shoeless Joe Catcher's Mitts of similar circumference sizes. The similar sized Shoeless Joe Mitts will be intended for adults to wear.
Ben
Would an excellent condition used model mean it is broken in? dpma
No it does not necessarily mean that. Actually, if the glove is in excellent condition that would mean that the glove has not been used much at all and is probably closer to a newer glove than a used, broken in glove.
Carter
What type of player is this catcher's mitt designed for? spencer
This catcher's mitt is designed for any player old enough to use an adult model glove. Typically that would be ages 12-13+. It is a high quality glove.
Kyle J.
Does this glove have an extra deep pocket? Joe
We would not categorize the 2016 Wilson A1K Series: A1KRB16CM Catcher's Mitt as having an extra deep pocket. This catcher's mitt will feature a pocket similar to other 33.00 inch patterns.
