Can we order for a team and get it in various sizes? Jason
Unfortunately, the 2016 Rawlings GG Gamer XLE Pro Taper Series: G112SWPTLE is only offered in a 11.25 inch pattern.
John P.
Would this glove be good for short stop and 3rd base? nicholas
The 11.25" length and the youth fitting on this 2016 Rawlings GG Gamer XLE Pro Taper Series (G112SWPTLE) will make it good size for a youth player at third base and shortstop.
Ben
Would this work for a freshman in high school? luke
The 2016 Rawlings GG Gamer XLE Pro Taper Series: G112SWPTLE can certainly work for a freshman in high school. This glove is going to be preferred by infielders, primarily middle infielders, as the 11.25 inch pattern makes this glove an ideal fit for turning double plays. This glove also promotes quicker feel when fielding which leads to quicker transition rates for getting the ball across the diamond.
Cameron
would this glove come in left handed throw John
Unfortunately, the 2016 Rawlings GG Gamer XLE Pro Taper Series: G112SWPTLE is not featured in a LHT model.

I am looking for a glove that will best fit outfield, pitcher, and third base. Do you think this is the best choice? I am on a high school baseball team (freshmen). Javier Medina
The 2016 Rawlings GG Gamer XLE Pro Taper Series: G112SWPTLE features an 11.25" pattern and it is typically best suited for an infielder. Usually a player that plays multiple positions in high school will be better off with a bigger glove around a 11.75" or 12" size. The Rawlings GG Gamer XLE: G175GN is a more common option for what you are looking for.
Jason
I am looking for a good stiff glove for the middle infield. Would you say this is a stiff glove? red bird
The 2016 Rawlings GG Gamer XLE Pro Taper Series: G112SWPTLE has a 11.25 inch pattern and would be a great glove to consider for someone that play the middle infield. The pro taper fit would best fit a youth player as this glove has a smaller wrist opening and tighter finger stalls. The supple pro soft leather shell makes this glove very easy to break-in. As for a stiff glove, would not recommend an infielder using one as it will make it extremely difficult to consistently field your position. If you are looking for a glove that requires more break-in on the player's part then would suggest the Rawlings Heart of the Hide but this glove will not fit well for a youth player (bigger wrist opening and larger finger stalls).
Cameron
I am considering getting this for my 8 year old son. He play's third base. He is using an 11" right now. So will this 11.25" be a good fit for him? Rikko
If your player is at third base (or shortstop and second), the 11.25" length of this 2016 Rawlings GG Gamer XLE Pro Taper Series (G112SWPTLE) will make it a solid model for use for your player. A nice feature of this glove will be that it comes with a youth fitting that will be nice for an 8 year old player. The one thing I would note, is that this mitt will most likely not be allowed for use on the mound as it has a white shell (most umpires will say it gives an unfair advantage to the pitcher since both the ball and glove are white).
Ben
What is the best way to break this glove in? Johnny Baseball
Please refer to our glove resource guide that I have provided below for tips and tricks on how to properly break in the 2016 Rawlings GG Gamer XLE Pro Taper Series: G112SWPTLE. http://www.justballgloves.com/glove-resource-guide/breaking-in-a-glove/

what is difference between the youth pro taper and pro? is the youth pro taper like the dp15 hand size johnny baseball
Both the 2016 Rawlings GG Gamer XLE Pro Taper Series: G112SWPTLE and the Rawlings GG Gamer Youth Pro Taper Series: G120PTH (for example) will feature the smaller hand opening and tighter finger stalls like the DP15 models from Wilson. AS for the difference between these two Rawlings models, the main difference will be the PORON XRD palm and index finger pad that the XLE Pro Taper Series will feature.

About the Brand

Rawlings is a major manufacturer of competitive team sports equipment and apparel for baseball, basketball, and football, as well as licensed MLB, NFL, and NCAA retail products. Rawlings is a major supplier to professional, collegiate, interscholastic, and amateur organizations worldwide, including the Official Baseball Supplier to Major League Baseball.

The first real innovation in glove making occurred in 1912 when Rawlings Sporting Goods Company introduced the "Sure Catch" glove, which was "endorsed by leading players all over the country." The Sure Catch was a one-piece glove with sewn-in finger channels and looked better suited for a duck's foot than a man's hand. Catchers' mitts used at the time were large and bulky with a single leather thong passing for a web.

In 1920, Bill Doak, a journeyman pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, approached Rawlings with an idea for improving the baseball glove from a mere protective device to a genuine aid in fielding. The "Bill Doak" model was so revolutionary that it stayed in Rawlings' line until 1953. Its key feature was a multi-thong web laced into the first finger and thumb, which created for the first time in baseball's young life, a natural pocket.

In 1925, Rawlings unveiled a three-fingered fielder's glove, and ten years later improved the Bill Doak model with a two-piece leather web. At the same time, the "T" web became a rage for first basemen's mitts. The pocket underwent a pronounced change in 1941 when the Trapper Mitt, also known as the Claw, appeared. The "Deep Well" pocket was so unique that Rawlings quickly patented it. The design was improved in 1950 by adding a leather piece across the top. Another significant creation occurred in 1948 with the three-fingered Playmaker. A five-fingered fielder's model, with all fingers laced together, provided greater pocket control.

The six-fingered Trap-Eze evolved in the 1960's. In more recent years, Rawlings produced the Fastback design, which gives a glove a snugger fit, greater extension, and overall control. The Holdster is a slot through which a finger can be extended for additional protection from impacts on the pocket. Then, there is the Edge-U-Cated Heel with its extended U-shaped lacing and the Pro H Web and much-copied Basket Web.

Some of Rawlings's more recent glove innovations also include the unique Spin-Stopper design which reduces ball spin when the ball hits the glove, and the Cantilever glove design feature that provides a cushioned area between the hand and the glove's palm area. In all, Rawlings has produced and patented more functionally innovative glove features and designs than that of any other glove manufacturer. The result is that the modern baseball glove is much larger, more comfortable, better padded, and made to last far longer than its ancestors. It is not uncommon to see today's Major League players wearing the same Rawlings glove they wore during their college playing days. In fact, Rawlings is the #1 glove in the major leagues. Rawlings maintains about 65 models of baseball and softball mitts and gloves in its line. The prototypes of virtually all of them have been field-tested by professionals before entering a sporting goods dealer's inventory.
