The NEW Wilson A2K series has finally arrived, and is better than ever! This new series focuses on its high quality, top of the line Pro Stock Select Leather, which guarantees comfort and stability. The top 5% of Pro Stock Select Leathers are chosen via a triple sorting process, which considers only the most flawless, consistent, and highest quality of material for its construction. Not only is the leather premium, the protection technology also passes the elite Wilson standards. The Double Palm Construction features a strategically cut piece of leather that is placed between the palm liner and outer shell, providing maximum pocket stability. This new series has double the protection, and 3X the pounding and shaping completed by a Wilson's master technician. Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A2K Series: A2KRB151799? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

How is the break-in period on this glove? What is the double palm lining pros and cons? J
The Double Palm Construction just allows for added padding to give a more comfortable feel while catching. The 2015 Wilson A2K Series (A2KRB151799) will have less of a break-in period than previous A2K models but it will still require some work due to the high quality of the leather. Time frame would depend on how often you work with the glove but should be moderate compared to other high-end models.

I'm looking at the 2012 model of this glove. Will this be a stiff glove? huddy
The 2015 Wilson A2K Series (A2KRB151799) features a pro stock select leather grade. This grade of leather means that only the top 5% of the leather cuts will be used in this series. It will be very stiff and require an extensive break in, however it will have a long life in terms of structure and durability.

Hi, I'm deciding on which glove I should get. I'm looking at this A2K 1799 or the Rawlings Heart of the Hide H-Web outfield glove. I have always loved Wilson. But I have seen other Rawlings and I like them. None of the stores near me have a place where I can try on this glove. I need a straight up answer between the two. Just to let you know, I play center field. I don't know which glove to get. Please help. ccccccconorrrrrrrrrr
Both glove models would work exceptionally well at your position. The 2015 Wilson A2K Series (A2KRB151799) will actually be a softer leather and break-in more easily. The Rawlings Heart of the Hide model will be much stiffer leather. It will take longer to break-in. That is the main difference between the two. We hope this helps you make the best decision!

About the Brand

A true American icon in the world of sports equipment. This Chicago-based manufacturer of quality gloves began in 1913 as Ashland Manufacturing, which was a subsidiary of the Wilson & Co. meat company. At one point, the enterprise became known as the Thomas E. Wilson Co., taking the name of an early chief executive. In 1931, the name was changed to Wilson Sporting Goods Co.

Wilson makes a variety of baseball gloves and equipment for several different positions, uncluding bats and batting gloves. They are best known for models that include the A2K and A2000, as well as custom gloves. Players such as Clayton Kershaw and Miguel Cabrera have sported Wilson baseball gloves.
